Respectfully disagree. Jalen can play DT1 or 3. Will put them over the top on Defense. Are 2 1st rounders worth a SB? Of course. After FA, this is the great position the cowboys find themselves
Two first rounders would move us into the top 10. No way would I give up that much for Carter. He’s a good player but he’s far from the one missing piece for us.

Again. Disagree. What other pieces are missing and why do you think he isn’t a potential all pro?

With every deal it looks more and more like the 1st round pick will be a TE or DL. If I had to guess, it will be a DE. But I could easily be persuaded it will be a TE.
I think TE or Robinson if he’s there
They are thinking let Pollard walk next year

He could be, but still not using that much draft capital. What teams have given up 2 first round picks to draft a DT before? Wouldn’t it be smarter to see if Mazi Smith is available at #26 or Benton at #58 or make a small trade up to secure one of those guys in the mid-2nd?

Getting talent like Cooks and Gilmore to upgrade positions of need for two 5’s and a 6 yes the FO deserves credit . This allows the scouts and Will McClay to zero in on improving both sides of the trenches and bringing in another RB to go along with Pollard & Davis in the draft days one & two .

Houston was trying to get more for him when teams really needed a WR. That's all. His salary/production looks like a 5th.
Right, but think of the quarterbacks he was working with, some low production with below average QB's. He is a 6 time 1000 yard receiver when he has a decent QB. That affected his production, too. Dak has to work on his zone coverage diagnosis, but having a speedster break behind the defense will make the zone read easier!

So did Diggs. 2 missed ints and a money choice on that missed hit with his eyes closed
Who do you fel is the best CB in football??? Hell, who cares. Ill give you deion. Now, if you could have deion in his prime right now or Mahomes, who you taking?

It is SIMPLE. QBS take you to the promised land or they keep you from it. CBs do not.

If Kincaid were there, they’d consider him as a big play TE in the passing game. A trade down for Washington out of Georgia would be just what Big Mike would love for the run game. Many think the big TE could transition to OT he‘s so good.
He’s intriguing. He could lineup in backfield as lead blocker, be a 6th olinemen without giving up a reciever. If developed and taught to use his body to shied defenders he’d be almost unstoppable on short pass. He’s fast for a 270 lb man. He’s not a finished product as a reciever but he has a very high ceiling
So many things a creative cosch could do with him

Underwhelmed....knew we would end up with Cooks....I can read Booger and Chuckles like a book. Go get Cedric back from the Fins and all will be forgiven. Only adding Cooks does not make this WR corp any scarier for the league, because Gallup is done.
I think rumors of gallups demise are greatly exaggerated
He rushed back from a knee injury
He will be what he was this year
Cook, lamb, Gallup make a nice set of recievers. Hopefully Tolbert takes a massive step this year and we could add another guy in the draft
I like Wilson but he got way over paid

-Very weird we got him for a 5th and 2024 6th, when the in season ask was supposedly a 1st

- Short term fix. Probably here for two years.

-WR wasnt likely at 26, but it should absolutely be on the table later if there is a guy they like. See above

- I wanted Hopkins above other WR's. Cooks does however fit #2 WR to a T

- He has been a very consistent player throughout his career. Fully healthy seasons have seen lows of 65 and highs of 90 in receptions. 75-1100 seems typical production.

-TD production is margin. Had a career high of 9 in 2015, but 5 or 6 seems the norm
I’m satisfied. He’s basically prime lavernius coles. S moss was quicker but cokes was gmfadter abd ran the whole route tree abd went over the middle. Cooks still has his speed abd rubs good routes. He should she well unless he gets injured.

He was down last year but Houston was a dumpster fire. Upgrade over Hilton and Washington. My only issue is that he is pretty expensive. Other than that he is the speed guy they need. Good pick up.
Not really that expensive since Texans eat 6 mil of his guaranteed money

This definitely deserved it’s on thread. You should tweet it out to all NFL players.

I would not spend draft capital on Mazi or Beenton in the first 3 rounds. There is world class difference between Jalen Carter in the playoffs and these two. The difference between championship play makers and fill ins.

Plus his salary is be subsidized by the Texans. So we win again.

He might have the ability to be an All Pro but it’s his heart and mental make up that will prevent me from investing 2 first rounders to get him. He couldn’t even put a good or average showing at his own Pro Day! What happens when he signs a big fat contract and all the distractions that come with it in Dallas?
