Myth of no open receivers

That's what I was saying. There were open receivers in that game and most of you were defending Dak that the receivers were not creating separation. I don't know why Dak doesn't see them and is scared to throw into tight windows. He has to let go and gunsling. Romo would have abused that defense, no way we would have lost with him in there.

Watch the film. For the most part receivers were not getting open or not getting open fast enough before the rush got to Dak. When they did get open Dak usually hit them with the pass. He missed a couple of throws .. he missed a few open receivers but usually because he was throwing to another open receiver.

If Romo had played this game he would have struggled as well. 2014 Romo may win that game but it's not 2014 anymore.

What do you mean apparently?

As in, you didn't see the All 22?

I haven't. So I'm not going to pretend my opinion is based on the All 22. I have seen the stills that theo posted, however....

Read through this thread. The stills aren't accurate.

Sturm has and he tweeted numerous times about it this evening. I shared the relevant tweets in the other WR thread. The one that proves Dez loafed.

Pages 1-3 or so. The tweets are all there. Sturm watched the all 22.

I think all of us agree romo Is better if healthy. I think the question is really just do you let dak finish out the season as he's been the man for 13 weeks and he has "earned it".

Not sure with whether conditions Romo would do much better.

There are very few times you can lay a loss on a single player. This was one of them.

If you're gonna blame it on one person then blame the Giants defensive coordinator .. .or on Dez .. or Garrett ... but Dak was not the biggest issue in this game.

... And that is the difference between a veteran and a rookie. Speed of the game.

No point in debating which of the throws were missed.... its useless. But, the missed chances.... the windows are tighter, timing for being "open" is much shorter, and you are going to have to throw your receivers open if you want to be in the upper echelon of QBs.

These are things that will either develop in time - or they won't. But these missed opportunities are part of rolling with a rookie QB.

There were open receivers on virtually ever pass play. Some of them were painfully obvious. Some of them would have required tight windows. But this myth of no open receivers is nonsense. Honestly, I got tired of cutting and circling images.

It's hard to see open receivers when you're playing with your head up your *** all night.

Why are people still posting pics and gifs and making comments in this thread? Bob Sturm already has spoken. He says the receivers weren't open. If he says they're not open then they're not open.

You think actually watching the All 22 and posting pics from it helps you make a case?

Just listen to Bob Sturm, for crissake! How hard can it be?

Are the receivers open?
He posted pics of plays where Dak completed the ball to one of the receivers that he has circled. Obviously a receiver was open on plays where it was a completion.

Needless to say, it would be very interesting to see these from the QB's point of view. With down-and-distance information and play results, obviously.
