Nakobe Dean Snub

What is Vegas? Their drought is even longer than ours lol. I think he wanted to go somewhere comfortable.

I’m just saying you’re fooling yourselves if you think players Deans age care about the historical success of the cowboys. The raiders historical success feels as recent as the cowboys to them. It all happened well before they were born.

Also, the raiders have been to a Super Bowl more recently than the cowboys. If we want to argue the fine points.

One team is doing a complete rebuild (again it’s true). But there is the great unknown and a new franchise QB on the horizon. Vs the franchise that has been getting the band back together for decades and refuses to tear it down and see if they can hit some home runs early in the draft and a new QB/core. Players can see the ceiling for Dallas with their core is a divisional loss-better than many fans on here can. Players have to put their money where their mouth/mind is though.

Intriguing player, but based on the time he's spent on the sideline they may be better off.

When all things are equal, most players assuming they're leaving on decent terms probably would prefer for a nondivisonal rival.

And there within lies the answer
The answer to that question is part hope he can stay healthy and part that he understands this new defense. He's a very smart player which is something that would probably not go over well in this locker room.

I never said the Raiders have. I said the cowboys don’t have more. Which means they’re about equal.

Their Super Bowl wins probably feel as far back as ours do. For somebody Nakobe Deans age.

It’s all ancient history to him.

Btw. The raiders have been to a Super Bowl more recently than the cowboys.
But we're talking about a player choosing the raiders over the Cowboys so what relevancy does that have if neither team has had any success in the past 30 years?

There's rumors swirling that Dean turned down an equal or slightly better deal from Jerry to go with the Raiders. Does Dean believe there's more of an upside with the Raiders than here? I know our 30 year history doesn't exactly promote confidence in our team or Jerry. Maybe we're relegated to shopping off the clearance rack....
no he has a history with a Georgia teammate that's why it's all good

I was referencing SB wins not Sb appearances when I said drought. I don’t think any of it matters. I don’t think Nakobe chose them because of their rich history or last SB appearance. At the end of the day Demario Davis could’ve went to any contender. He chose Jets. Lamb could’ve chose any team and went to the Cowboys in free agency.

If you pay the money they will come. I don’t think it’s one team a player won’t go to if they overpay for them.

Exactly what I was trying to figure out. We aren’t talking about the Eagles or Chiefs or Rams. We are talking about a 24 year old Nakobe Dean who wasn’t alive for that SB appearance.

If so, damaged goods did us a favor.

The guy’s only healthy season in the NFL was when he barely played.

How is this a problem comprehend He probably has some loyalty to the team that drafted and developed him and essentially got him paid he doesn't want to play the Eagles twice a year This happens more regular than you think he chose to go to a team that's paying him about the same that's going to be completely out of the NFC conference and he gets to start over...

That's it that's all there is to it he doesn't want to play Eagles twice it's pretty apparent that was his reasoning it's not a snub against the Cowboys He doesn't want to play against his old team that often..

Let's face it, neither team is competing for a title any time soon.

I wouldn't go that far, but I do agree Trying to outbid somebody just like they did with Crosby, you can't overpay for a guy like that.

They made a fair offer, He may may or may not have done us a favor, but I'm glad the Cowboys didn't up their bid.

I don't think he was coming here either way the Cowboys would have had to so overpay for him to not want to see the Eagles twice a year I mean we all know that's why he did it...

Hell,

I'm going to throw this in here even though it does go with this thread Quay walker was another target of the cowboys and they took both of them but after looking at all the free agent grades for linebackers Quay Walker it was OK he may have fit this scheme but there's some guys out there they're in the same zip code still available.

Okereke was Actually graded, barely buy a smidge, over Quay Walker..

I think this is why the Cowboys are in a holding pattern they know once they can get their target there are a lot of other guys that kind of fit in that same talent level that you can pick up at any time that can play the role veteran bridge for Who are they getting the draft but I think they're waiting for the draft although I'd go after BO If I were them just go and put them on the team I don't know what they're waiting on..

We would never be surprised if any of our players bolted for a team that has a better upside than us, so why would we be shocked if any player didn't want to come here? Any player that leaves here talks about what a joke we are.

From everything I read your facts are off and probably purposely misleading to make a better "anti-Cowboy story". Our offer was not better, it was "similar", meaning it was less. He signed where he got the most money.

Best thing for Dallas is he is just part of the group of guys leaving Philly or unhappy with the culture there. They are falling like a rock. Stoudland leaving after realizing where they are headed is the story. That's gonna hurt
