Nakobe Dean Snub

Look at how YOU used similar. Similar can be the same, more, or less. I used to root only for the Cowboys. After years of being pissed off, I switched to the Bills because I live in the northeast.
I would never root for the Eagles, but I do think they have a smart GM, something Jerry can't figure out. I gotntired of Jerry's empty promises. You're right..I'm not trying to fool anyone. You certainly are...
Well if I had know you were allowed to do that..........................................................................................................................

The injury factor made me glad he ended up in Vegas . Good luck . Devin Bush was a much better option now he can make Chicago even better .

Time to stop navel gazing go after Bobby Wagner on a one year deal plus draft a quality LB early Styles and possibly steal one later in the draft , Red Murdock .

From everything I read your facts are off and probably purposely misleading to make a better "anti-Cowboy story". Our offer was not better, it was "similar", meaning it was less. He signed where he got the most money.

Best thing for Dallas is he is just part of the group of guys leaving Philly or unhappy with the culture there. They are falling like a rock. Stoudland leaving after realizing where they are headed is the story. That's gonna hurt
Keep dreaming. Yall have been saying this on this board since Carson Wentz was the qb. LOL

2 Super Bowl appearances, 1 win and another retooling later. The culture is bad, and they're headed to the basement while there is never ending optimism and hype that the Cowboys defense is about to be lights out because they got Vic Fangio's under study. Howie Roseman and Jeff Lurie are not Jerry and Stephen.

The cowboys is a place you go when you want the national spotlight on you.
If you don't want that pressure its better you go hide in Vegas or another team that every national sport media outlet isn't covering all week.

Says more about Dean than it does the Cowboys..
He played in Philadelphia the 5th largest media market in the country. I don't think he has a problem playing under scrunity.

Which opinion do you speak of?

The only opinion that I can recall is that CP reminds me of a combination of Steve Spagnoula and Vic Fangio and a slice of Brian Flores.....so pretty much non-specific.
You got all that from his press conferences? Dude hasn't coached one single down as a DC in an in-game situation. but you got his style of coaching figured out from him talking in press conferences? This is why the Cowboys haven't won in 31 years. Because yall will hype up ANYTHING.

Wrong. Used in this context, similar means less. If it were more or the same that would have been stated
Do yourself a favor, look up the definition of similar. Using your logic, why not just stat "less?" So similar means less, but if the contract was more or the same, they would have said those words? Are you serious?

It’s hard not to wonder why someone like you are here, other than to troll Cowboys fans, especially when the topic is about a former Eagles player going to the Raiders.

If that’s the priority, why not just talk about it elsewhere?

Cowboys' fans often deal with trolls from rival fan bases on forums, social media, or in conversations with opposing fans, and sometimes it’s clear they just want to stir things up.

Personally, I don’t care what others think and think it’s best to treat it the same way. I've never ONCE went to a rival, another team's forum page, or social media to talk about Anything, not once, I don't care what they think, why would you extra time you're no longer a Cowboys fan?

Cowboys, whether good or bad, seem to live rent-free in rivals’ heads, just like media personalities and content creators who can’t stop talking about them.

Almost daily, a show will bring up Dallas to make a story out of nothing, feeding into the idea that Cowboys fans are always on people’s minds, whether they admit it or not.
I don't troll fans. I come here to vent, which many do, and to commiserate with those of us who had our fill of Jerry's comedy show. Evidently some folks on here take offense to ridiculing Jerry's 30 years of mismanagement. I still follow the Boys, and probably always will. I just got tired of the way the team was managed and wasted seasons. You seem to be stuck in the mindset that I am coming to a "rivals" forum, which is not true. My point in discussing Dean was that Jerry didn't land him. Was it because of the way Jerry has done nothing lately, or is it the fiasco here with the coaching turnovers and inconsistencies, or was simply a better contract elsewhere? Don't always assume that because someone chastises Jerry or the management, that they are from a rivals team. Not everybody holds the same opinion as you.

I will never forget in 2023, instead of signing Bobby Wagner, we re-signed oft-injured Leighton Vander Esch to a two yr, $11 million dollar deal. LVE ended the year on IR and it also ended his career.

Wagner signed a one year, $7 million deal with Seattle in ‘23, before signing with the commanders in ‘24 for one $8 million dollar deal, reuniting with Dan Quinn. Wagner later had said he wanted to play for Quinn in ‘23 but Dallas had re-signed LVE.

Imagine what this defense could have been in ‘23 with Wagner, Parsons, D-Law, etc. Another example of very poor cap management and talent assessment by our FO.

Maybe we could get Wagner on a one yr deal for’26.

Well, you have to admit thought that LVE fit the profile. One year injury prone wonder.

Oh FFS. Look up how similar is used in this context. You can't be this obtuse. If it was the same or more they would have said that. Have you ever read a sports article or tweet? It could mean the base was the same but the SB was less. The point is, it was less in some way and less attractive from a contract perspective regardless of your not even close to thinly veiled attempt to come here to troll the Cowboys

Dude is known for completely misreading the room. Most posters simply pass over his books.

You don’t need to come here since you’re a Bills fan—you already made that clear. I said it because it’s my opinion, and you’re just here to troll.

You’re wrong about Dean; he picked the Raiders not because they’re a better organization—they’re actually much worse than Dallas. Last year they burned $100 million, dumped the coaching staff they’d just hired, and moved on from the quarterback they’d just paid. Everything Brady and the Raiders organization did was a disaster, and they had to reboot everything.

So, the Cowboys had to reset the defensive side—big deal, it happens.

You’re saying he’s not used to that? How many coordinators have the Eagles gone through lately? Seriously, think before you write, because you’ve got me laughing at you—and not in a good way. You’re not funny; you’re a sad clown. He chose the Raiders for one reason: it was the best contract that didn’t have him facing the Eagles often.

Plenty of people in the know said the Cowboys’ offer was equal or even slightly better depending on how you read it. He didn’t turn down Dallas because they’re disorganized—he turned them down because they’re an Eagles rival. That’s it. You’re overcomplicating this, and trolling by insisting he rejected them over organizational issues is flat-out wrong.

So, take your exit stage left, and go back to talking with your Bills fans, not us.

Players don’t care who they play against. A guy playing against a team he once played for happens multiple times every week of every NFL season. Dean signed with the Raiders because they offered him more money than any other team including the Eagles.

And where do you get off suggesting others go elsewhere?

......it was sarcasm.

Get on the decaf.

How do you know this? And him too. The contract was similar so your comment is false. It is more likely that he signed with the team where all his buddies went to. If the cowboys had offered significantly more, maybe he would have chosen the cowboys.

Similar is not more. Professional football players don’t choose to play where their “buddies” are. Few have careers more than 8 years. They have their whole lives to hang out with their buddies.
