I really have no idea. She’s just not very funny yet people keep paying to see her?? It’s a mystery!
My nephew worked a gig of hers (he sometimes works as a runner for the XL Center in Hartford) and he wanted to make an impression (I don't know why), so he wore a T-shirt with a picture of a kitten on it. It worked. She said something to him about it, though I don't remember what she said...but it was probably a sarcastic joke that didn't land. Didn't matter, he has a story to tell about it.

But I agree with everyone else. She's not at all funny. Everything I've seen seems like she's trying to steal other people's acts, but doing it so badly that nobody realizes it.

Anyone mentioned Sam Kinison yet, not funny and annoying as all get out. Never understood the adoration.
Not my cup of tea either but he didn’t deserve the way he went out. He just got married and was at the peak of his career, did even make it to 40

George Carlin. He's had some funny bits, but I hate when he just says (said) something average in a silly voice and people thought it was clever. Very overrated, IMO.
“Women are crazy and men are stupid.” One of the funniest average things ever said.

Agreed. No different than the rest of Hollywood and Netflix. A lot of the new fresh stuff is from international markets that have caught up to the American Hollywood. I know Trevor Noah was on this list earlier, but I consider him part of that, and another guy is Ronny Chieng. I’ll check out those Ozzies and Kiwis you recommend. ;)
This is hilarious with both of them. They swapped accents pretending to be from the other country LOL.

It must be a case where she resonates with some people, but not others. At most, she's made me chuckle a few times. I know people like to hold her up as a woman comic who has made it, but she doesn't seem very good to me. Joan Rivers was way better. Rivers had me laughing silly, may she rest in peace.
I've not listened to much of Rivers stand-up, but some pop up on the comedy channels on SXM. I've found them to be very funny.

I watched Bill Burr's new movie, "Old Dads", a couple days ago, it was bad. Normally I like him, but that movie was unfunny.

Back in college, most my friends would come to my room to watch Letterman and herb out. Those early Letterman days were great and we were not prepared for Sam Kinison, it was his first TV appearance. He had us rolling and people were imitating him around campus for a couple weeks. :lmao:

Jerry Seinfeld.

There's nothing even remotely funny about him - his stand up, or his show. I even tried to give the show a 2nd chance 20 years later, and it's still dumb to me.

My favorite comedian is Anthony Jeselnik.

I never even heard of Pete Davidson until I started seeing him on those Taco Bell commercials. He always mentions their fluffy eggs.

Not sure these people would be classified as “comedians” but I don’t find any of them funny. If anything they’re annoying. Kevin Hart, Jimmy Kimmel and Jimmy Fallon.

Sheesh. What DOES make you laugh?
There's a ton, but there is also some difference between comedians and comedic actors and I'm not sure where the line is.

I'm cool with most of the old school SNL team. Farley, Sandler, Neilson, etc.. Some more recent Fey, Poehler, Sandberg, Will Ferrell, Mike Myers

Eddie Murphy, Steve Martian, Martin Short, all had some great runs.

I love Tim Robinson, but I get its not for everyone.

Then you start talking about guys like Steve Carell and Seth Rogan, SBC, who have put out some very funny stuff, but don't do stand-up or sketch comedy really.

Leslie Nelson was awesome. Gene Wilder, Jim Carrey. Chevy Chase.
