I like the trade for Jarvis Landry but I don't know if he has signed a contract yet. 4th and 2019 7th is a good deal.15 mill a year is probably not a wise move if that's what he gets.

Did a quick glance through free agent deals/trades and these are the ones that stood out to me:

1 year, $7 million for WR Donte Moncrief

4 years, $26 million for G Josh Kline

3 years, $15 million for DT Justin Ellis

2 years, $7 million for S Tavon Wilson

Trading a fifth-round pick and backup receiver for a seventh-round pick and DE Michael Bennett

Trading a fourth- and sixth-round pick for a 2019 seventh-round pick and ILB Alec Ogletree
that's respectable, I don't get the fascination with Moncrief...is he that much better than TWill/Beasley?

These are the deals I've liked so far:

Carlos Hyde (27) -- Signed 3-year, $15M deal with CLE
John Brown (27) -- Signed 1-year, $5M deal with BAL
Nigel Bradham (28) -- Re-signed 5-year, $40M deal with PHI
Bradley McDougald (27) -- Re-signed 3-year, $13.5M deal with SEA

Waiting on this one to see the details:

Beau Allen (26) -- Signed undisclosed deal with TB

I hadn't seen any numbers on the John Brown deal yet, that's one I would have made.

Sure he is. All evidence to the contrary. You show everyone the sheer level of your desperation to cry about something, anything!

Ngata hasn't played a full season since 2011 and is coming off a season-ending biceps injury, at age 34. But you and Doc Brown go ahead and jump into that Delorean and pretend that Ngata is still some "difference maker" or anything other than a nice rotational, depth player.

And if crying over a depth player is the best you've got, your act has not only gotten old, but desperate.

Thank you for the quick bio I was already aware of.

Yeah, this is why he's available for a one year deal. That's my point. No long term commitment. An instant upgrade to fill a role that's lacking here. Perfect fit. You don't get him if he hasn't been injured. And if he can't stay on the field, so what...you didn't hurt your future. It's the exact type of move the Eagles make to win a title.

You seem a little scorned that I answered your question. It's almost like you assumed nobody had an answer and were as clueless as you were of the situation.

Neither do I. I would have kicked the tires on a one year "prove it" deal for a million or two, but $7 million for one year makes no sense to me. Even if he plays well, you end up overpaying him again to keep him in 2019. All the Jags did was do the player a huge favor.

A great question but I wouldn't get your hopes up looking for a lot of responses.

We've got a ton of rueage happening, but nobody coming out and saying "gee, I wish we had made that deal!"

Yep, I've asked 5 complainers now that have said "so this is what it's like for a team to care about winning", and asked them what would you have paid?

Ive gotten zero repsonses. Lmao.

Ill try to find them and @ them

I posted this elsewhere but WR have no desire to come here because they and their agents look up and down the roster and realize there is no fit, especially guys looking to build their reputations. John Brown number looks good but I bet he would have asked for more from Dallas. Baltimore is WR starved team, probably the worst WR corp in the league so it would make sense 1 year prove it deal works for both parties.

Then you must have ignored me when I answered.

Haloti Ngata.

Now continue to defend a failed front office and then whine like a little girl when you see the same team next season.

You dont know how much Ngata got paid....
What a dumb repsonse
Wow

The one year 8 million dollar deal for Wilkerson
So why not sign Suh for say 3 years 45 mil. I'm pretty sure his Suh's cap hit would only be about 7 or 8 mil based off of a 20-25 mil SB

He had 11 sacks last year.

This team was a middle of the road team in terms of pass rush even with Lawrence. Peppers would have been a plus here.

Peppers for one year at $5MM would have been a great move for the Cowboys.

We wouldnt have been able to get him for $5M, he wanted to stay in Carolina.

But I agree i would have loved that.

Wow

given the eagles cap, the moves they've made, the age of the player, and the length of the deal, it's a VERY easy to conclude it's a small deal.

id have liked wilkerson, john brown (if the price is correct) or the marcus peters trade.

I think it's a safe assumption Ngata didn't get paid a crap ton on his one year deal. There is no chance the Eagles paid him a large contract to be a backup to Tim Jernigan.

Common sense here people.

We can assume, but using that as your answer for the reason the front office is failing IS SO FREAKING DUMB.

He loses all credibility when that's his answer after all the whining.

Also players like Ngata will go to SB contenders like the Eagles for less than what they would sign with us.

Its easy to conclude he wouldnt have signed that small deal with us.
Wilkerson signed a one year prive it deal with his old DC he flourished with to cash in next year.
John Brown signed 1 year for $6.5M

If he can't stay on the field, it's Stephen Paea all over again. Maybe the smarter move is to invest in a big, young guy in the draft like Vea or Tim Settle, rather than taking a risk that maybe this year, at age 34, Ngata will stay healthy?

We can guarantee that if this team had signed Ngata they wouldn't be making that level of investment.

But again, if a depth signing like Ngata is the biggest thing someone can grasp for to complain about? Smacks of desperation.

You seem a little scorned that I answered your question. It's almost like you assumed nobody had an answer and were as clueless as you were of the situation.

That would be based on your lousy attitude in the conversation. If you noticed, when you were calm and respectful, so was I, and when your attitude changed, mine did as well.

We desperately need speed at WR and the only thing TWill does well is blocking.

I have my own issues with Terrance Williams but his four year career dwarfs Moncrief in every way.

The nice part about Wilkerson is that it's only 1 year. But I would sign Suh to a 3 year deal avg 8 mil a year. But that's not what the topic us about.
