The nice part about Wilkerson is that it's only 1 year. But I would sign Suh to a 3 year deal avg 8 mil a year. But that's not what the topic us about.

I'll go about this a different way.
If you're Suh do you sign for 3/24?
Paul Richardson who is about 1/10th as good as Suh just got 5/40.

If he can't stay on the field, it's Stephen Paea all over again. Maybe the smarter move is to invest in a big, young guy in the draft like Vea or Tim Settle, rather than taking a risk that maybe this year, at age 34, Ngata will stay healthy?

We can guarantee that if this team had signed Ngata they wouldn't be making that level of investment.

But again, if a depth signing like Ngata is the biggest thing someone can grasp for to complain about? Smacks of desperation.

That would be based on your lousy attitude in the conversation. If you noticed, when you were calm and respectful, so was I, and when your attitude changed, mine did as well.

My "lousy attitude" was answering your question. You didn't like that. I don't really care how you act. I care about reading someone defending the worst front office of the last 20 years and trying to lecture fans like they know something.

-

You - What signing does anyone wish the Cowboys made? Huh? Answer that!

Me - Haloti Ngata.

You - If that's all you got that reeks of desperation.

-

Or it could smell like answering your question.

Correctly.

And you can't stand it.

It's been a rough couple of days for you. But hey, at least free agency started today. Enjoy.

For me?

Dude, I'm not the guy crying about missing out on Haloti Ngata!

I'm not "defending this front office", but you know that. But in your rush to attack, you'll try to twist things that way.

But unlike you, I'm intelligent enough to see beyond absolutes. That the Cowboys are "absolutely terrible" or "absolutely incompetent", or "absolutely the worst front office in the last 20 years!"

That's ignorant hyperbole and makes you sound like an *** if you actually believe that.

You see, I'm capable of seeing more and I can actually give them credit for doing something smart, like not paying out stupid money for "good players".

You'll gripe about Anthony Hitchens being overrated for months, maybe years, but the Cowboys get no credit whatsoever from guys like you when they don't make stupid decisions and overpay him like the Chiefs did. Nope, no credit, just criticism!

"They're not doing anything!" "Like what? Overpay for Sammy Watkins?" "Well, no, but.... something..."

You're a one-way street. And a broken record.

Do you think Suh takes close to $8M?

He really is an interesting case. He has that baggage and the impression is that while he was very good he may have underperformed his contract.

I was surprised no one took on Poe last year for a long term deal. I wonder if the market on a guy like Suh might be depressed a bit.

that's respectable, I don't get the fascination with Moncrief...is he that much better than TWill/Beasley?

I think he'd be a good second receiver here, helping to ease the coverage on Bryant. He's not a No. 1 receiver, but I believe he's better than what we've got at No. 2.

I'm not saying we should have gotten him, just that his one-year, prove-it deal wasn't bad.

Oh who are you kidding, without people pointing out the clear mistakes and flaws of the Cowboys, you'd have no purpose in life.
We know the mistakes and flaws of the Cowboys. People like you tell everyone every thread every day over and over and over again.

None really. Either of the big DT1's. Ngata maybe? Wilkerson maybe but he's a trouble maker. Don't need another. Ngata would have been nice. What was his price tag. Didn't see it

***************************UPDATE*******************************
so looking through the responses, these are the deals you guys would've wanted, just FYI...i really don't see anything on this list that might not be available after the draft or after final cuts. I'm not praising or whining about the FO at this point.

M. Wilkerson signs at 8m for 1 year
Haloti Ngata unknown terms (Risen Star)
Peppers signs a 1 year 5 million
Danny Shelton not sure the trade parameters
Carlos Hyde Signed 3-year, $15M deal with CLE
John Brown Signed 1-year, $5M deal with BAL
Nigel Bradham Re-signed 5-year, $40M deal with PHI
Bradley McDougald Re-signed 3-year, $13.5M deal with SEA
Beau Allen Signed undisclosed deal with TB
Donte Moncrief 1 year, $7 million
Josh Kline 4 years, $26 million
Justin Ellis 3 years, $15 million
Tavon Wilson 2 years, $7 million

Trading a fifth-round pick and backup receiver for a seventh-round pick and DE Michael Bennett
Trading a fourth- and sixth-round pick for a 2019 seventh-round pick and ILB Alec Ogletree

not on his last contract he was cut from, he most likely make closer to 8AAV than 19AAV
That doesn't really answer the question. Does he sign for less than 10AAV?

Trent murphy just signed 3/$21M-$30M who is a defensive linenan but on the edge.

He missed all of 2017 with a torn ACL

What did the Giants throw at Ngata for coin Syd? I wouldn't pay $8 mill for a locker room trouble maker like Wilkerson but that's just me

Eagles. And I have no idea but given it's a one year deal and he clearly wouldn't be the starter in Philly since they have Cox and Jernigan at DT, I would suspect it's not a big one year number.

I hadn't seen any numbers on the John Brown deal yet, that's one I would have made.

Kind of a no-brainer for a team looking for a speed WR, which we ought to have been.

I can't get what the 49ers are thinking, letting Hyde walk and then giving McKinnon 4/$30MM. That's crazy.
