Name your favorite sport teams

It is interesting to see how many posters here are from other areas of the country (like me) besides Texas.

This is why the Dallas Cowboys are, and always will be, America's Team.

I forgot to add my favorite college team, UCLA (thought we were just doing pro teams for some reason).

NFL = Dallas Cowboys. The only sport I realy watch.
NBA= San Antonio. I liked David Robinson.
NHL= Philadelphia Flyers. I whent to there Hockey camp when I was 15 Years old.
MLB = New York Mets. My girlfriends team.




To tell you the truth, I realy only care about Football. The other sports I will just check out the highlights on ESPN every now and again. So wake me up when training camp opens up.:zzz:

The Cowboys are the only team I am really sold on in any sport. I have teams that I root for depending upon a given situation.

For example, I rooted for whatever team Nolan Ryan was pitching for. Since his retirement I have rooted for the D-Backs, White Sox & Rockies because they play Spring Training baseball here in Tucson. If one of them were to leave (White Sox are considering it) and another team were to come here I would probably switch.

I used to be a big Lakers fan during the Showtime years. I enjoyed that era of basketball and Magic Johnson was simply the most fun player to watch in the NBA for me because he made everyone around him dangerous. I haven't seen an NBA game from tip to whistle in about 4 years. I kind of root for the Suns and like the way they play full throttle basketball like the old days, but I just haven't been able to bring myself to watch it yet.

I love Hockey, but prefer to watch it live, so I do not follow the sport. I root for the Coyotes only because they are the state team and their colors are kind of cool. I enjoyed watching Wayne Gretzky very much. Seeing him live one time was a true treat. His coaching the Coyotes might be another reason why I like them.

I love the Arizona Wildcats and North Carolina Tarheels in NCAA basketball. One because they are local, the other because they are Duke's biggest rival.

I consider all of the NCAA Football as Christmas shopping for the Cowboys. It is my 2nd favorite sport behind the Cowboys in the NFL.

Well, I'm originally from Ohio and I've been following them since the Big Red Machine days of the late '70's. Unfortunately I just missed the early-mid 70's dynasty. I became aware of sports in '77, right after the Reds back to back championships.

Thankfully I was in college and vividly recall the '90 championship season. Too bad there hasn't been much to cheer about with them the last 8-10 years.

I became a Reds fan around the same time because my father loved them. I was in the Army overseas in Germany in 90 when they won and one of my friends was from Oakland . He gave them no chance to win and when they swept them he just told me I don't want to hear it. :laugh2:

Cowboys baby - being from Dallas they are what you are raised on.

Glasgow Rangers, some of my family are from the UK (uncles) and they are huge Rangers fans and i have been to the UK a few times for some games and they have the best atmosphere at their games i have ever heard.
