Others think I'm crazy, but I'm the most loyal fan of every team there's ever been...lol, and I've loved all of my teams, none of which are geographically linked to me in any way, since childhood.

The first baseball game I ever watched and understood was the '67 World Series between the Cardinals and Red Sox...I was mesmerized by Bob Gibson, Lou Brock, Tim McCarver, Curt Flood, etc. etc....I've been a Cardinals fan ever since.

First basketball game I ever saw and understood was the championship series between the Knicks and Lakers....Willis Reed coming out after warmups on a gimpy leg, DeBussher, Bradly, Barnett, Lucas, Clyde Frazier....I've loved the Knicks ever since.

Of course, my first football game on a black and white tv set was the ICE BOWL...how could anyone not love those uniforms and the guys digging in.

As you can see, I fell in love with teams that were the underdogs in the games in question....then I fell for the St. Louis Blues just because it was St.Louis.

Its really hard for me to choose between the Irish and the Boys; I fell in love with both about the same time in the late 60's early 70's.
since I went to Iowa, they are also a favorite- but a distant 3rd.
I used to be a real masochist and was a cubs fan- but finally got sick and tired of the ingrained losing. Pretty much put me off of baseball all together.
Was Lakers fan when Magic and Kareem were there- not anymore. Piss on hockey.

It is still A sport (contrary to an above post) that many people still enjoy watching and (for those of us who can still get off our couch and engage in athletic activity) participating in. It's one of the most exciting, physically demanding sports in the world. You may not like it, or understand it, but that's no reason to degrade it.

Baseball, none really but Giants are my favourite if I have to choose

In soccer, after Canada, I cheer for France (vive la France)

Club team wise, I like Paris St. Germain although because Foxsportsworld Canada stopped showing French league games, I don't get to see them much, and then Arsenal in English league.
