I have full faith Jerry will do the wise thing.
lol.
lol.
Maybe we can sign that great quarterback the Eagles have after the season .. you know .. FolesHe's not worthy of a mid-level contract either.
He's not even a top 20 QB in the NFL.
Its adorable how naive you are.Any qb that is signed, you can say it's cause for concern, what's sad is you crying over something that hasn't even happened.
Just as you fools cried over Cooper, just as you cried over Zeke being drafted #4
This would be a great opportunity for Dak to prove he's a leader, and take the low priced contract that would help the team surround him with the talent he needs around him.
Your players should be paid based on worth, not how much they made the past three years.LOL how about No. Dak Prescott is about the 65th highest paid QB. The Cowboys ALREADY got their discount for the first 3 seasons. If there was one QB that should NOT take a lower contract it is Dak. Dak, Cam Newton, and Russell Wilson are the LAST QBs that should be taking discounts.
The Panthers, Seahawks, and Cowboys have gotten way better production given the amount (relative to other NFL teams) they pay for Newton, Wilson, and Dak.
Its adorable how naive you are.
And....he cannot be the reason you loose games
He might not be the reason the team wins ( t.bay game good example), but he has to avoid mistakes that loose games (1st skins game fumble)
Your players should be paid based on worth, not how much they made the past three years.
I agree. I wouldn't pay more than 5 million per year.
That is fine. Pay him based on worth...whatever that is...
But to suggest that Dak Prescott, under ANY circumstances, should take less than what he is worth (whatever that is) is ludicrous.
Andrew Luck should take less than what he is worth, so should Matt Stafford, Derek Carr, Kirk Cousins, and Matt Ryan.
Given that there are 3rd string QBs making more than Dak NOW and even if you foolishly think Dak Prescott is the worst QB in the NFL...he still is making WAY below the going rate for the 32nd NFL QB.
They should be, but they're not. Owners cut players with millions left on the deals. Players need to get what they can, when they can. As a former coach, my job was on the line every Friday. I knew that any year my salary could be cut in half. That's the business.Your players should be paid based on worth, not how much they made the past three years.
Nate had to smuggle dope to make ends meet. He's lucky Jerry keeps him around as comic relief. It's funny listening to two hypocrites in Prime Time and Big Nate lowballing Dak when we know Prime or Nate would never accept a vastly underpaid 2nd contract.
He'll get at least 20, imo.I still say Dak should get paid around $16-$18 million per season.
Who said he should take less than he's worth? I said it would be a good opportunity to prove his leadership, by taking a deal that would allow the team to surround him with everything he needs to succeed. If he can't succeed with less, he's not worth it.That is fine. Pay him based on worth...whatever that is...
