1 decent East series.. 4 vs 5 but 3 great series and 1 solid on in the West.

I wanted the Mavs to get the Rockets so let's see how it goes now.

Gonna watch as many WC playoff games as possible.

Well here comes the hack a Jordan with the Spurs and hack a Dwight and Dorsey from Mavs.

The rule needs to be changed.

Love having a thread like this where we can view what people said across an entire year.
It gives you an idea of who has credibility and who is just here to poke others with sharp sticks to draw a reaction.

I don't see much crazy in this thread so the NBA crowd is either pretty mature and actual fans or I have the crazies blocked:)

Good luck to all the fans with playoffs teams. I will begin to homer out here shortly as I get into playoff mode.

Well, didn't expect the Heat to choke away the playoffs.
Got to re-up Dragic, and hope no team from 11-14th spot wins the lotto.

Why does it need to be changed? It's a strategy that puts the onus on the offense to adapt. If DeAndre Jordan shoots 75% from the field, but 40% from the FT line, I want him taking his lowest percentage shot. If he can't hit his FTs, then the Clippers need to decide whether it's worth taking him out of the game. Bottom line, make your FTs, and it's not an issue.

Still dumb and needs to be changed. I can understand fouling when he does get the ball, but it just look foolish when I'm seeing tag out there.

I want to see defense making stops. Just my opinion.

It does need to be twinked a bit, that is not basketball. Maybe go to one shot and the ball(possession) or something.

I am not sold on the Rockets yet. They are a great regular season team but aren't built for the playoffs, thank goodness that they got Dallas first. Anyone else and it would be one and done :(

There's not much to see because the NBA is pretty predictable. I could have told you the 8 West teams to make the playoffs (maybe not in the exact order) and the East is a joke. It'll still be the Cavs vs either the Warriors or Spurs in the Finals.

well, since the 9th team in the west had the same record as the 8th seed, I kind of doubt you for sure could have picked the 8 teams, joey

Not sure I fully buy that.
I think most years there are a couple elites that get through but a lot of back and forth outside that.

The West had 2-9 seeds decided in the last couple games.
No one could have predicted that.

GSW/SAS might get most nods right this second but come Sunday night that could all be very different.
i am not sure SAS can beat the Clips.

I have no idea really who will win the West. Too many good teams with too small a gap between them.
GSW looks the best but have no real playoff pedigree to bank on.

The East is less wide open because most of the playoffs team over there are bad but CLE has to prove they can live up to expectations and only LeBron has the rings to fall back on.

Who is all injured on the Rockets? I haven't been following them much. All I hear is that they're fielding a D-league team because of injuries, but when I read their injury report, all I see is Dwight Howard is day-to-day.

lost Beverly and Donatas, Dwight isn't near 100%. They brought up a few guys from the D-League, two of which can't hit a FT. Those guys are getting the critical final minutes too :(

Yea the PG play is a concern.
D12 is still big and a defender in the paint which is really his best role anyways.

Some of the guys (on both teams) in their first playoffs are gonna struggle.
That's just the way it seems to work.

So are the Mavs fan happy with the Rockets or did yall want the Spurs?

Personally, I wanted the 2 seed for the Home Court. However, I am happier with the Clippers, as opposed to the Mavs. I feel we would have beaten the Mavs, but they just give us too many headaches. So now we are the Road Warriors..........I would love for us to come out with the spiked shoulder pads, but Pop would never go for it......Timmy D and the crew would though.
