Knicks sign Tim Hardaway Jr, whom they traded 2 years ago, to a 4 year, $71 million dollar offer sheet

Bring back Phil...

edit: actually he signed Noah to a worse deal, maybe we should just hire Lebron to be our GM

After the Morris for Bradley trade, the Pistons renounced the rights to KCP. According to ESPN: "......The Pistons have been reluctant to meet Caldwell-Pope's $25 million-plus asking price......." $25 million-plus?:lmao:

Warriors just resigned Pachulia......smh.

Without exaggeration, he may be the worst player in the NBA.

Odd move. Isnt his skill set pretty redundant with Fox? And they arent winning anytime soon and thats not a whole lot of money for him to entice him to play in a **** box

I think these are very solid moves.

They have plenty of youth up front between WCS, Skal, and now Giles. Now, they get a solid mentor for them and a solid rotational piece to pair up with their youth upfront.

The Hill signing means they can bring Fox along at whatever pace he dictates. Rookie PGs often don't come out of the gate firing on all cylinders. Gives them some stability to a young roster. They don't need to get younger. They need their youth to develop.

These are all good moves.

It's weird. I think Sacto has had an excellent off-season. Actually, I think they've done excellent from the Boogie trade forward.

That makes sence.

I do wonder if the Boogie trade has been wrongly judged due to the media over inflating the stock of star players. What they got back isnt really out of line with what Butler and George went for. Those trades got killed too, but maybe people fans and media types have no real idea of trade value

I think that is correct for all those players.

Butler's value was lowered because the Bulls had to do something. They weren't sitting on a plethora of picks like Boston to build around Butler. Butler is good enough to keep them in playoff contention, so they were going to be drafting in the mid 1st round... Which, if you get a rotational piece, you've done well. And they were going to be staring down the super max in two years. They had no chance to build around Butler before his slide begins, barring luck. Teams knew he was going to be shopped. He isn't the perfect fit for every team, though. He is very much an old school player, not a pace and space player. Not surprising Thibs went after him. Perfect fit.

George is a FA after this year and there are strong indications he's headed to LA. That reduced his value.

Boogie is a head case.

In any event, if you have to trade a star player, you are never going to get equal return.

Boogie has also never been a winner. He just has that aura around him of a talent player who will always play for bad teams

Unfortunately, I'm going to miss the Bulls summer league game today. Was really wanting to see Lauri and Kris play... But Thomas the train is in Union today, and, well, kids.

Donovan Mitchell was supposed to have looked good. I liked him a lot.

Missed getting a chance see Tatum too.

Only saw highlights, but Fox looked impressive from that. I really, really liked him.

Granted it's summer league, and I've witnessed Tony Snell and Doug McDermott dominate it in years past... And Dunn was excellent last year, so it's not much of an indicator... But it's still fun to watch. You can still view skill sets.

Tatum looked really good in Utah. Had a couple double doubles and averaged over points.

Ball looked really bad his first game

I really like what I've seen of Tatum. Moves like a veteran player. Bill Simmons thinks he's Paul Pierce Jr., but I don't see that. To me, he reminds me of a young (healthy) Rudy Gay. I think he's a great addition for the Celts and what they need.

L. Ball is Jason Kidd; great vision and anticipation, but subpar shooter. Perhaps he develops that part of his game as Kidd did. It also remains to be seen if he's the floor general that Kidd was.

As an aside, watched the Dubs first summer league game. Patrick McCaw looked great and the rookie, Jordan Bell, was as advertised; highly athletic, hustler and productive. I have my doubts about Kevan Looney ever developing into a player that will command minutes as he simply doesn't have an explosive element to his game, is a bit of a plodder, doesn't play to his length (defensively & on the boards), though he can knockdown the three.

I'm hoping Damian Jones takes some minutes away from Pachulia. I really think Kerr is just trolling the league by playing Zaza like "we're so good we can give this scrub minutes and still beat you."

I always though Hayward was a decent comp for Tatum. Good expansive skill set, centered around scoring but with some two way and facilitation elements to it. A smoother athlete then explosive. I dont think he has that truely elite cieling, but he is very likely to hit that "3rd team All NBA" cieling at some point.

I never really saw it in Looney. On a bad team he may be able to carve out some minutes as a stretch 4, but not an overly good. He really has to work on finding a niche or its Europe or China for him
