Hearing chatter that DeAngelo Russell May just be used as a trade chip for another move by the Warriors.
What other move could there be? Just curious. I am not really as tuned in as y'all down there being from toronto lol. We dont get many stations without paying for satellite radio. And well. I'm just too cheap for that nonsense when I can ask you for free lolHearing chatter that DeAngelo Russell May just be used as a trade chip for another move by the Warriors.

As a fan of the NBA I really want to see Kawhi return so Toronto can defend their title. What fun is an NBA season of the past champion isnt able to defend there titlewherever Kawhi goes becomes the immediate favorite tbh. TOR is defending and LAL would be set with the best big 3 of all-time. BUT that big 3 would be starting at 0 to add pieces and may take a year to fill out a roster kinda like the original Heat big 3 lost year 1.
The change makes it fun to watch these new teams and see what they do.
MIL and PHI look really good in East. BOS arguably better. BK after a year when KD is back.
Cycles run fast. LBJ is not prime LBJ anymore.
Not sure AD is the kind of guy that can handle LA glare tbh. He's never been criticized.
We shall see how that all goes.
I think Kawhi back to TOR on a 1+1 makes the most sense.
Next year is terrible for FA and Kawhi could again dictate everything.
TOR with him returning has the best shot to win it all whereas in LAL they are looking for buy outs and minimum wage vets to fill out roster.
Ill say this, I don't want to see them in the playoffs this year. Even with Kanter, our bigs are still very green. We will probably see alot of Robert and Grant Williams and Yabusele this year. It could be a good thing in the long run, but Bigs could be our doom this year.As a die hard Celtic fan, losing Al hurts but losing him to a rival, hurts even worse. Right or wrong, this is how Trader Danny operates. He was taught by one of the best to ever walk an NFL sideline in Belichick. They both let their aging stars walk while replacing them with younger & cheaper talent. IMO, Philly drastically overpaid for AL whose body is deteriorating. With that being said, I'm not sure how many games we'll see Al & Embid on the floor together with Al needing so many maintenance days per month and with Embid's injury history. I'll miss Al.
I think this is season is partly going to be about undoing last season. I see them as a 3rd/4th seed (depending Kawhi) and should good for 50-55 wins. Next offseason they will have some finality on the Grizzlies pick, be that in conveys or goes completely unprotected the following years. Either way they should be able to use that and the last year of Hayward's deal to add another key peice. That Horford contract is just terrible. He is one heck of a 4th guy but paying your 4th option that salary is quite mad.
Especially as a time when metrics suggest bigs are largely interchangeable 10M parts.
BOS was big winner in all this IMHO. Kyrie is high maintenance, crazy and moody. He's essentially a hot girl.
Kemba just wants to win and will let Brad actually coach.
PHI... right now they are in a weird spot as Jimmy isn't returning but MIA lacks cap space to make the trade. 20M in cap room isn't an easy get right now.
Both PHI and MIA need to step up if they want that deal to go through.
Read a blurb that said he was acquired as an asset because " he doesnt fit whatsoever". He isnt a perfect fit, but see how "he doesn't fit whatsoever". He has the requisite offensive skills for Kerr's offense. He is P&R heavy for that team, and ball dominant. But if he coulf alter his game( he should be able to) he can fit that offenseHearing chatter that DeAngelo Russell May just be used as a trade chip for another move by the Warriors.
So the latest that's being reported is that the hold up is on how the Offense will work. According to a report (who knows if it's true?), Kawhi wants the Offense to run completely through him. I mean, I get it if it's true but I don't see it working. I think he's better just going back to Toronto. I mean, he could probably get that from the Clippers but I don't see enough talent there. I think that if that's the truth, Toronto is the best situation for him.
Lakers should move on and sign complementary players around James and AD. IDK, who knows what is true?
I was hoping for Looney over Kanter. Kanter is eventually going to unplayable. Looney is at least strong switchable defender. Ill take PNR defense over boards and paint pointsLooney resigning with the Warriors. Good signing.
Jordan Bell is signing a deal with the Wolves.
Dont know why people are clowning Sac for that Barnes contract. Thats not a terrible deal. Maybe overpaid slightly, but they are young and cheap so that deal is in no way shape or form a killer. Barnes offers great utility and experience to one of NBA's most talented and fun young cores. Personally I would take Sac's young core over Pheonix
Rozier put himself in a good situation. He will he 28 when he hits FA again. In Charlotte he will have the ball in his hands, and give himself a chance to raise his profile into better contract at 28, while still collecting almost 20 mil a year for basically half a season as a starting point. His $ should have been lower than Smarts after 2019. It was bizarre move by CharlotteIt’s the new economics of the NBA.
20M gets you a starter
15M gets you a good bench player
10M gets you either youth that hasn’t hit their stride yet or veteran players with major holes, declining production, etc.
I mean, Rozier almost got 20M a season for example.... Harrison’s contract is in line.
Middleton, Harris, and Rozier made out like bandits.
Orlando and NJ got to the playoffs last. Not to crap on them but anything is possible. Its the upside to the East being weak, or at least top heavy. Alot of these younger cores can get a chance to see what playoff ball is like younger than in the WC. There is some value is trying to compete with Toronto or Philadelphia in a series even if you are going to get smokedI’m actually liking the Bulls offseason....
Young adds experience to a very young front court. Satoransky will supply steadiness at the PG position.
Satoransky/White/Arci
Lavine/Valentine
Porter/Hutchison
Markkanen/Young
Carter/Gafford/Ogre
Dunn is a goner.
Obviously, it’s not a contending team. And Lauri needs to continue to develop. Carter needs to show growth in year 2, too. White is 19 and will probably struggle heavily this year.
But it’s a solid roster that now has some quality depth. They could potentially challenge for a playoff spot depending on player development. The games will actually be watchable without wanting to stab myself in the eyes.
I’d like too them add a veteran C. No idea if Lopez could be brought back or if he’ll command more than the 4.7M exception... but that would be ideal. If there was a way to unload Feliciano, that would be nice.
I’d like to see Dunn and Valentine packaged for a veteran 2G and a veteran C signed.
