The guy Philly should target is Bradley Beal. Josh Richardson and/or Ben Simmons would be great bait there.
Then get a tough little PG that can play like the Mavs and Nova's own Brunson as a cheap back up PG.

Wizards said they are not trading Beal so you can forget it

That totally fair just odd to sign a guy over 30 in that scenario.
Stealing someone like Oubre would've appealed more to me.
Then again maybe Thad becomes a value asset at trade deadline.

I just hate improving 2-3 games on poor teams with no upside to it.

I think Otto Porter,Jr. is going to break out this year. I think we'll improve more than 2-3 games especially if Lavine can stay healthy.

You are failing to understand that his offense didn't make up for his poor defense. I'll gladly take a guy who scores 2 pts less a game and plays much better D.

Also Jimmy only was a 34% 3pt shooter. Very average. Jonah Bolden, Mike Scott and Zhaire Smith all shot higher.percentages.

Also Tobias is clearly not a 32% shooter from 3. He got in a funk last year.but the first half of the season he was over 40% and the past few seasons he's been over 40%.

You simply don't know what you're talking about here. This team will be.a ok without JJ and JB, don't worry.

Tobias fell off badly in 3PT% ON THIS TEAM IN THIS OFFENSE. That's the issue. This is where he is and the offense has created even less space with the moves made this off-season.
Redick was coming off double screens and hitting hard to get 3PT shots.
He is a weak defender but an elite 3PT shooter.
Currently rated 4th in NBA2K fwiw.

Philly is a very talented team and will be OK. But they aren't elite and that's on them making poor off-season decisions and could go further and hurt them in coming seasons because of the high-priced contracts.

You are more than welcome to your own opinion as I am to mine on an off-season grade. I'd be shocked if any two people agreed on every grade for every team much less if homers agreed with opposing fans takes. But the issues I am bringing up aren't debatable, made up, or reaches of any sort. Philly absolutely did lose their best outside shooter and over 32 a game between two players. They did sign massive contracts for guys that are VERY questionable.

Danny Green got 15m a year as an aging 3 and D guy who only shoots wide open 3s and offers zero on offense but a spot up spacer.
Redick is a create your own 3 guy that shoots off the dribble, comes off screens and obviously can spot up such that he is absolutely worth 13Mx2.

The 76ers simply chose Horford. They 'needed' the cap space for him.
I think that was a terrible move that set the rest of the off-season for them.
They got Richardson but none of the Heat's young highly regarded prospects in that S%T.
Now they are locked in with that roster.
If it doesn't work they will quickly need to pivot to trades.

They will eventually trade him. Her has 2 years remaining on his deal and they either pay him 30M plus for 5 years or risk getting nothing.
They are a 1 star team in a 2 star league coming off a 32-50 record and didn't notably improve.

They just weren't going to get much for him this off-season with so many players available to be had.
Next off-season there's nearly nothing out there so Beal will command far more.

Livingston is another non-shooter. He didn't even attempt 3s on the best floor spacing team in basketball.

Anyone would take him on the free/vet min which is what it costs at this point but he doesn't help the Sixers shooting at all.
I think he goes to LAC where he can stay in state and provide 2nd/3rd PG duties on a title favorite surrounded by outside shooters.

I could be wrong but I thought you didn't believe the Lakers could sign AD last year. You believed that they didn't have the cap to afford two max players.

Lakers did not have two max slots. They traded for AD so never even really had 1.
They had AD waive his 4M trade kicker then had WAS take on players for free with assets further gutting their roster(to 3 players under contract lol)... to not use the money on a star player at all.
That was shrewd maneuvering by them (and extremely genorous of AD) to get space but ultimately it was used on Danny Green and KCP because it wasn't secured earlier and they waited out KL who wanted LAC. So they could have simply operated above the cap the entire time and kept everyone they had and wanted the last TWO seasons plus had better trade chips for that AD trade.
Rondo/Lance those guys weren't trade options.

I argued trading the kids for AD LAST YEAR was in line with what they really wanted to do and they were wasting a year of LBJ at the end of his career.
They waited and a lot of those assets lost value. But they did make the trade because AD was going to be going somewhere via trade. Getting AD is huge.
He's a superstar, top 10 guy in his prime. Not sure LAL would have been appealing enough in another year to land him. LBJ another year older....
But that roster is a dumpster fire after those 2 guys and really should be built by a basketball man that understands coaching principles and not an agent.

It really makes no sense to not use their built in advantages and then trade the guys if you must but give the team some continuity and fill out an actual NBA roster.

That team can't play LBJ and AD 40 mpg. Both require some load mgmt.

LAL should NOT be operating under the cap. Stars will force trades to you anyway.
Get enough players that when they do you can ya know actually win.
Offer role players 3-4 year deals at 10-12M and LAL would clean up on that secondary player market and build real depth.

Bottom line is..I watch the team..you don't. You overvalue JJ for that reason and that's why you don't understand just why he won't be missed as much as you think. The offense we run next season won't be the same one we ran this season..and Tobias will fill a much bigger role and be able to get in rhythem and get back to his old self on offense.

But we could disagree until we are blue in the face..let's just wait and see.
