Yea just 24 hours later :laugh2:

And again ...... if you watched your video (which I actually doubt) you will see that most of the fowls were he hit the ground were legit.

Much more than 7 ' tall Dirk getting knocked down by Parker.

Ginobli is an awesome player, but he has a sterling reputation througout the league as a flop artist.

Probably has something to do with all those Championships he has.

Guys get "reputations" all the time .... Dirk has a reputation of hitting people with his elbows.

Broke Manu's nose ...... knocked out Houstons Landry's teeth ..... hit Kobe in the throat.

Is that one fair?

They really have an asterisk considering all the flopping.

Your really contributing Manu's reputation for flopping because of his Championships??

I guess Vlade Divac got that same reputation because of all his championships...oh wait

I think Dirk deserves that reputation the same as Manu deserves his. Dirk has done some damage with those things over the years. Manu's "flopping" is a part of his game. I'm not a fan of flopping, but it has been around for years and some seem to use it a lot more than others.

I have been a Magic fan since their inception and I know full well that Dwight Howard is going to throw his elbows and, if he gets called, he is going to look astounded about how he could get called for it. Not a fan of that, but it is a part of Dwight's game.

The Mavs can make all the trades they want. They can whine and fuss about fouls all the want. At the End of the day the best player on there team has to WANT to win. HE has to be willing to MAKE his team win. Dirk has yet to enforce his will on any team when it matters most. Yes when his fall away jumper is going he walks around with chest out shooting threes and pumping his fist. But when a team starts taking it to him, and frustrating him, instead of getting mad and taking it to them back, he starts to fold. If the Mavs want to win a NBA title, they either need to replace dirk, or find some toughness in Dirk to be on display for more than just one game.

And I do not think the Spurs have enough to win this year ..... maybe not enough for this series.

I just got riled up with guys like catch disrespecting my Spurs at the beginning of this thread ...... of course most of those guys have disappeared since the first game :laugh2: .

Its a little old b/c Yi shouldnt make the team and now that the cap is higher than expected we can grab a 2nd max FA. And still have some room after that for desperately needed shooters like Korver or Mike Miller.

Oh and......

Whatd I do?

I wouldn't call what Ginobili does "flopping" so much as he throws his body around with reckless abandon. He's always kind of out of control when he drives the lane, so when he leaves his feet he's at crazy angles and he falls as a result of that, or if he gets a slight amount of contact he falls over because he's already on the verge of falling over to begin with.

He gets some calls because of that, and he uses that to his advantage as he should. But by and large I think the refs have gotten used to his style and he doesn't get many of those calls anymore.

Then again, I'm a Spurs fan so I'm obviously biased, but I don't see it as him faking it... I think the fearless, reckless, out-of-control drives are just his style of play and part of what makes him so much fun to watch.
