It won't be an easy series for Philly. Even with the injuries you got some young ballers. I love how Rozier's been playing as well as Tatum, and you have home court advantage. It should be a good series.

I think Boston/Philly ECF might be a normal thing in the future when you get everyone back healthy.
Fun little sidenote on the budding renewal of the Celitcs/76ers rivalry

Celtics get a likely top 5 pick from the Kings next year. The only protection on it is #1. If its #1, it goes to Philadelphia.

However those ping pong balls drop could be a big swing for the Celtics/76ers rivalry

I really like watching Ben Simmons play. If this guy deelops a reliable mid-range game he'll be tough to stop. Best court vision for a big man since Magic (unless you count LeBron).
How often do elite players like Simmons develop a whole new shot to their arseanl? It's not terribly uncommon for a pitcher to add a fourth or fifth pitch, even into their big league careers, is it kinda like that?

Simmons is getting hype as the true heir-apparent to Lebron from what I'm seeing Cal, but all I ever see is him dominating at the rim? I don't watch a ton of NBA, so maybe I'm off. Is he a "floor general?"

Simmons is an excellent player with a very rare skill set. I dont know if he will ever be good enough to be Lebrons heir. He really really needs to develop a reliable shot to become a top 5 superstar. Right now I would say Embiid is their top dog

He is definitely the best player to come out the last three years though. And he may be better than KAT

There are similarities to Giannis. Big, long players who are excellent facilitors. Simmons has better hands and court vision than Giannis. But Giannis is a killer, Simmons isnt. He doesnt really have to be though Embiid is a killer.

Thats a critique you see alot in Philly's young core. Simmons and Fultz are exceptionally skilled players, but they just arent killers. Thats where Embiid is crucial to that team

Happens alot more than you'd think. Jordan developed a mid-range shot that took his game to the next level; Karl Malone became a reliable spot up shooter from 18-19 feet just to name a few off the top.

If you were Boston would you take Kawhi for Tatum? I think that'd be a good trade for both teams. Celtics would probably have to add Horford though to make the salaries work.

Kyrie/Kawhi/Hayward is good enough to beat Golden State IMO. At least it'd be a damn good series.

I'd like to hear what darthseinfeld thinks of the trade.

76ers are a joke. A healthy team losing to a team without their top 3 players (Irving, Brown, Hayward). Too funny. I hope 76er fans are crying in misery.

Before this season, yes. After, no. Kawhi is easily a top 5 player but the season scared me about him mentally. Im only interested in a guy like that at a discount rate.

I dont know the story, but if he could play this season and choose not then Im not giving market value for him

Id offer Horford, the Kings 2019 pick, the future Grizzlies pick as protection if the Kings pick goes #1( 76ers get it). If they dont like that offer, they can go suck a **** and try and find a better offer from a team he would play for. And if they do, good for them

I think if they moved Tatum, it will be in package for a younger superstar like Giannis, Porzingis or Davis. Ownership wants a decade long window

It was a great win. But are the Celtics getting efficient 25+ points from Rozier, Tatum, and Horford every night?

At home yes, on the road I doubt it.

That's why I think this series is going 7.
Philadelphia better get there **** together though. They shouldnt lose this series. Rozier may an issue because they dont really have a D centeric PG, but otherwise they should be in control. And Rozier isnt Kyrie. His shooting can go cold

Id take a counter offer of Horford, the lotto pick and Rozier. But thats as much as I would give up for what may be a damaged asset. Im not buying high on Kawhi

@ESisback . Mercy, those Celtics showed whose boss last nite em.

But, after being the worse team in the NBA for so many years & only having 10 wins last year, I'm happy they even made the playoffs. Again, two very young teams with a bright future.

At least you and I have 2 other teams that are doing well again, unlike waiting for the Cowboys to do so, we could be dead by then.

I already corrected you on this, your team won 28 games last season. It won 10 games 2 seasons ago.

I'm impressed with Brad Stevens. Celtics were playing without Gordon Hayward, Kyrie Irving and Jaylen Brown (Their 3 best players) and they destroyed a fine young team like Philly by 16 points on one days' rest! Impressive!
