Lol that Forestt footage doe
IMO the Rockets are the only team he would push over the top. He may win in Philadelphia, but its not a forgone conclusion. I think the Celtics could beat that team, at least next year. The NBA product is at one of the lowest points I can ever remember and it will only get worse when LeBron joins whatever team and makes the rich get richer this summer. The game itself is bad, with the ref quality still terrible, everyone falling in love with jacking up threes, playing 1 on 1, etc.
The years immediately following MJ were pretty bad but then we saw an emergence of new stars take the game to another level and we saw teams who began ushering in a more exciting brand of basketball (Kings, Mavs).
Imo Jordan was the downfall as the league figured out they made tons more money when a star like Jordan was winning, hence him getting away with murder and egregious traveling violations sometimes.....after Jordan, star power has ruled and gets well timed calls. I’ll never forget the Kings having the Lakers almost put away and phantom call after phantom call kept LA in it, even the players in that game think it was rigged. Then an official actually came out and even admitted as much essentially. If you bet, bet on star power in NBA games and you will win big $ esp come playoff time. The Celtics didn’t have to star power to compete with the money the league would get from LeBron being there. Houston is still a distant money making finals team compared to a California team with the star power GS has. You can see the date stamp on my earlier post calling the matchup. I keep hoping I’ll be wrong.
Well, it's way worse now but I do agree, this is where we really saw this kind of thing become way more apparent in the NBA. I agree.
PS, I’m wearing a tin foil hat
Yeah if he wants the best shot of winning in the next 3 years then Houston is his best option. Philly has young talent but Simmons and Embiid are still maybe 3-4 years away from being on that elite level. And I don't think he fits well with Simmons anyway. All of the talk of him deciding to stay in the East are overblown because at this point, it doesn't matter. This is a 1-team league right now with the Warriors dominating, it's more about going to a team that could potentially knock them off, regardless of what conference they're in.IMO the Rockets are the only team he would push over the top. He may win in Philadelphia, but its not a forgone conclusion. I think the Celtics could beat that team, at least next year.
@FuzzyLumpkins Just like I showed last week
46m watched the AFCCG
15.8m watched Game 2 of NBA Final on Sunday Night
It is no contest and that is with the NFL losing 20% and NBA gaining 20%
The NBA product stinks...... they make these Superteams but it still whoever shoots the 3 pt shot better wins a blowout game....yawn
"2017 championship averaged 20.4 million total viewers, up from 20.2 million viewers for the previous season’s seven-game series"
Oh wow, up 1%!!!!
Not statistically significant...
And you completely ignored the other data...
