I understand this take totally but they are a big entertainment business and effect millions upon millions in dollars in local economies.Considering that NBA players are less likely to have the undermining health conditions that tend to make COVID-19 worse, I personally would like for them to receive it at the same time as the general population, not after, just the same as everyone else.
The faster they roll out the better.
The NBA has a very manageable number of players, the finances to pay any costs for getting and distributing the vaccine effectively and could even provide their arenas as vaccine locations to the general public using their own players/staff as the first test bed.
Once you have the first responders and people with high risk conditions I'd have them near the very top of any general release.
