What a b-side story.

Undrafted Tony Romo wins SB.

Darren CBPOY wins SB.

I felt coming out of college that McFadden had the tools to be a great RB things of course have not turned out that way for him. Health has been a factor but I think he has also suffered mentally in what could be described as a dead end job on a dead end team. Coming to Dallas I'm sure he is looking at this as a chance to turn things around for himself as well as being a factor in helping a team compete for a championship. Like others I have doubts, just looking at the status quo from a reality stand point but I also would not be shocked to see McFadden end his career on a high note.

Seriously, I would have Eli's dad get me traded on draft day.
I would not want to play every team. Raieers, browns, skins, eagles etc lol

By all accounts, McFadden was a guy who approached the game right in Oakland. He practiced hard and didn't complain about the crapfest around him.

If you watched him last year, you'd have seen a guy who was doing the small thing - a willing blocker in pass protection, etc.

He's got the right mental approach. His body just doesn't hold up.

He gave the Raiders over 100 rushes that year!

But seriously, if he can go 113-499-4 (4.4 YPC for those who can't do math) while adding 29 catches for 285 yards as he did as a rookie, I'd call that great production provided that he's the #2 (as I expect he will be)

I hope so.

Given his history, I'm assuming the worst and hoping for the best.

I see the guy's potential and have for years, but examples of him living up to that potential are few and far between. I'm hopeful that with this offensive line that he can finally fulfill his true potential but given the history and track record, I'm at the point where I'll believe it when I see it.

I'm sure he did work hard but it is hard to get the juices flowing and go the extra when on a losing team. I agree about the health but I think is can be exhausting when the team you are on is constantly losing

I don't, because I don't think he can stay healthy enough. He's been in the league for 7 years. He is what he is at this point.

With this o line....you never know. Instead of getting hit by linemen and linebackers 95% of the time like he was in Oakland. Taking a beating from safeties and corners may be what the doctor ordered.

Murray still produced, even with a suspect line early in his career, when he was on the field. McFadden is coming off 3 years in a row where he averaged less than 3.5 YPC. Pretty dismal.

maybe so but McFadden might be mentally healthier knowing hes on a better team with a team knowing this position is valuable. Im hoping to see him really emerge because he knows this is the best place for him to end his career.

McFadden has the speed that we haven't seen in Dallas since Dorsett. Let's hope he can stay healthy, b/c if he can, Dallas will have landed another steal, and real talent at a fraction of the price.

He had the speed not sure how fast he is now. Seastrunk would be the fastest back currently on the team he ran a 10.33 100 meters.

He was also the 4th overall pick, expectation were much greater.

Not sure feeling like a rookie again is a good thing for McFadden he missed 3 games as a rookie due to injury and was hobbled by injuries most of that season.

Well sure.

But if he can produce at that level (over a full 16 games) and provide the sort of pass protection he had in the past, then this is a great signing.

Sure if he can do it over 16 games. Even at that he only had 1 game with 100 plus yard that season and again looking a YPC to me is not a great indicator of how a player produced.

If both were available at vet-minimum contracts, I don't know there's a team in the league would' prefer McFadden. They're different players, for sure, and I think there are things DMC can bring to the table in Dallas, but Murray's a significantly better player. Or at least he was, last year.

I'm on board with McFadden, but I think Randle will really shine this year. I don't think Darren's going to get that many opportunities on O. Maybe on special teams though, with the departure of Harris.
