So I am jealous of success? Wouldn't that be funny if my school of choice didn't have more all-time wins.
And what baseless accusations am I making that you can refute? I haven't seen any yet.
Why is it that you avoid any of my questions? Is it because you would have to admit the ignorancy of the OU staff for once?
And of course you drove a Porsche. I'm sure you are also living in a multi-million dollar mansion on the coast, married to a super model, while your hung like a mule. But I'm gonna save you any more chest thumping and just tell all that myself before you go any farther in this thread. Sheesh.
I was making a statement about someone attending college and driving a nice car. Call me the defender of those who got to drive nice cars. You are saying just because someone drove an expensive vehicle that there has to be some shady business going on. I am saying that just because someone drove a nice car in college does NOT mean one has to be involved in some misdeeds (as in my situation...). That is not chest thumping. That is an EXAMPLE. I could have said my friend drive a Porchse blah blah...would that have been better for you not to get so upset? Odd...anyways.
My statement again so that nobody is confused.
The Compliance Office at OU did not do it's job. THIS DOES NOT MEAN THEY KNEW about the incident and just turned it's back on it. Once they found out about it. The University did it's own investigation into the matter. This was when folks started talking about it. It was reported to the NCAA at that time. OU continued it's own investigation. A week or 2 later is when Stoops and the Compliance Office verified the activities of Bomar and Quinn at the dealership in question. That is when Stoops removed them from the team. This ended Oklahoma's investigation. This did not stop the NCAA's investigation into the matter. My issue w/ you is that you continue to say that OU knew about this all along and didn't do anything about it. I am flat out saying thats a crock of **** and you can sell that someplace else. If you remember that anonymous email was sent to OU and the NCAA at the SAME TIME. OU then started it's own investigation into the matter. Can we verify the source first before proceeding to the gallows?
Oklahoma got a fair penalty from the NCAA regarding this infraction. That was NEVER my complaint. My complaint is about USC and the Reggie Bush fiasco. Some of my beef was about TS at Ohio State to a degree. I never read anything about the NCAA doing anything to OS. Maybe they did. I know the school took TS out of a couple of games over it.
Now tell me. If it's not really a big thing w/ USC and Reggie Bush. Why is the FBI doing it's own investigation into it (bribery charges)? They are witholding evidence the NCAA has requested, thus the NCAA is saying this is slowing down it's own investigation.
Just throwing this out there....
Oklahoma is the winningest program in what is widely considered the modern era of college football. OU has the most victories and best winning percentage of any team since the end of World War II.
The Sooners have earned seven AP National Championships in that span and are recognized by the NCAA for
16 titles. OU has spent more weeks ranked in the top five (342) of the poll than any other team and is tied with Notre Dame for most weeks ran ked No. 1 (95). The AP poll began in 1936.
