You gota swap QB and see if a different style can make a diff but they won’t.

Half way to 70........

Maybe Jerry needs to pay #4 another 15 mil a season so he will REALLY REALLY start playing better and taking the game seriously
Yeah but he'll need to start playing defense too.

Defense has been exposed. Still a long season but this is more than concerning. Time for Dak to stat pad in the 2nd half

Defense wasn't that great last week, Watson just looked bad. But there were people getting open. Throws were just missed, and wrong receivers were targeted. The Talking Heads were hyped up about the defense without letting the season play itself out further.

The most disconcerting part of the first half is that the run defense is STILL broken. That is not something you can fix with scheme. You have to have the players for it. And once teams know you can't stop them from running, everything else is EASY for the other team.
:hammer: ....Our defensive tackles literally were on their backs....I don't know how many times.....You get them moving side to side....cutback....it's a lane big enough to drive a semi through.

It was clear Jerry and company don't care about building a true contender when they chose to bring Zeke back as the starting RB. He was washed 5 years ago and everyone knew it.

But it made for a good story and jersey sales so they went with it.

If you are giving up a TD on every single drive, there is not a QB in the history of the NFL who can keep you competitive in that situation.
it would help if he t least is able to score once in a while.

we all have given up being competitve with that qb a long time ago.

Brooks falling kind of hurt. Because we basically gave them 4 more points. (They scored 7 and we scored 3). When we should have cut into their lead by 3 points or 7 points.

I think last week fooled us. But I think we need to look at the roster and understand that this team is lacking depth at certain positions and tried to fill it in with cheap unproven, or over the hill players.

Brooks and Tolbert are JAGs, I am not sure Brooks would play for any other team but Dallas.

The defense has not fixed the problems that had last year. There is no pass rush outside Micah and if a team commits to stopping him there is no one else to put pressure on the QB. The run defense is only marginally improved over last year.

On offense, we have no running game and that puts a lot of pressure on receivers like Tolbert and Brooks because CeeDee is going to see a lot of attention and Cooks is a limited #2 at best.

Finally, to think that a rookie like Carson could come in and take the place of an all-pro like Bland is just folly.

I think Dallas is going to have games like this one all season long. Their weaknesses along the DL, and the inability to threaten defenses with a running game are going to open them up to some big offensive outputs against them.

The offense is on pace for 32 points. That is a good offensive game that should win 90% of the time. If you need to score over 70 win in the NFL you are not winning in the NFL.
