Then I would certainly disagree.
I think Glenn is finished.
And the sooner everyone involved realizes it, the better.
It's not about a waiver, it's not about saving a few bucks.
It's about moving on and doing what you can to get someone who can contribute.
I'm starting to follow you from thread to thread on this topic.
There are indications that Glenn *is* able to play and at a high level right now. What he's got is a contract dispute. The players all seem to think he's back. He sure seems to think he's healthy. He'd be on the field at the next opportunity if he'd make up his own mind and sign the revised contract in front of him.
When you've got good young players with a few years in the league in need of playing experience and an option like TG available and familiar with the system, there's nothing to be gained by bringing in retreads who aren't capable of a significant contribution. There's nobody out there right now who's an obvious upgrade. Joe Horn is a backup plan.
If this team thinks it really needs an upgrade, they should pony up a high pick (or picks) and solve the problem. Either from the usual suspects, or from an unexpected source. Not Joe-Horn unexpected. Something like Tory Holt for a two and a three.
