I assume you mean a healthy Glenn over a healthy Horn, but that doesn't seem to be the case at the moment.

I don't know, I just think sometimes people like to keep their own trash, rather than try someone elses.
You assume wrong. If Glenn is healthy there's no question about it.

I am talking about Glenn with his question marks over Joe Horn.

We don't need him, and he isn't coming here... Romo wants Glenn (because they work well together). Jones is just using Horn as leverage to get Glenn to budge on his stance.

Patrick Clayton would be a much better #2 than Joe Horn anyway.

Then I would certainly disagree.

I think Glenn is finished.

And the sooner everyone involved realizes it, the better.

It's not about a waiver, it's not about saving a few bucks.

It's about moving on and doing what you can to get someone who can contribute.

I'm glad to hear that the team is looking at other options. Time to stop wasting time on the Glenn situation and move on.

why stash, did you have anyone in mind? : )

I would use that exact line when describing Glenn, and even moreso.

I'm thinking that Horn could at least pass a physical.

maybe. but i doubt he could catch it.

i also said glenn was done last year and took a reaming. can't remember who but there's the usual suspects to choose from.

I never said Glenn wasn't finished.

I just would roll the dice that he has another year in him before I would bring in Joe Horn. One guy is a possible solution. The other guy isn't any kind of solution.

I'd much rather roll the dice on a guy who is worth taking a chance on.

my bet is that glenn signs the $500k waiver. what other option does he have to even sniff the chance at a ring? parcells would be a job for a year then she can coach for him.

but i double or nothing that bet glenn doesn't make it through camp and is gone anyway.

If he signs the waiver I take him over Horn without a moment's hesitation. I would even if he doesn't. I think he is a bettere fit and better character, and better WR.

Everyone is aware of that 'campaign', but I'd be open to hearing about any viable option.

I think anything would be better than continuing to think that Glenn can come back.

I'd rather go with the status quo of Crayton, Miles, Hurd, and Stanback opposite TO than bring in Horn.

Last time we saw him play was in 06 how does Glenn look now? I like Glenn but I think Dallas is taking a big risk with a player who in all likelihood will not be able to go all season long.

I'm starting to follow you from thread to thread on this topic.

There are indications that Glenn *is* able to play and at a high level right now. What he's got is a contract dispute. The players all seem to think he's back. He sure seems to think he's healthy. He'd be on the field at the next opportunity if he'd make up his own mind and sign the revised contract in front of him.

When you've got good young players with a few years in the league in need of playing experience and an option like TG available and familiar with the system, there's nothing to be gained by bringing in retreads who aren't capable of a significant contribution. There's nobody out there right now who's an obvious upgrade. Joe Horn is a backup plan.

If this team thinks it really needs an upgrade, they should pony up a high pick (or picks) and solve the problem. Either from the usual suspects, or from an unexpected source. Not Joe-Horn unexpected. Something like Tory Holt for a two and a three.

If I'm not mistaken, we will start the season with our 3/4 receivers all being older than 33 if this Horn deal is made.

We'll be lucky to win 8 games with an aged receving core like that. We all know Crayton can't catch a metal ball if his hands were made of magnets, we also know Witten can't catch the ball 15 times a game and T.O is bound to break down if we work him too hard.

damnit Jerry, you know you could have drafted a receiver right? RIGHT?

There were few WR in the draft worth taking and chances are none will make an impact this season. This was a weak draft as far as WR go. Horn if he comes here would only be a stop gap until we can find some legit prospect or make a move on an URFA WR.
