Newman or Trufant?

Cool, thanks. I think that INTs tend to be overrated though, and like the targeted/completions statistic. If I had any money, I would definitely pay for a STATS membership.

Newman only played in 13 games...and some of those were spot duty. FWIW.

I agree. The targeted/completions stat is a nice one.

Their career stats prior to the 2007 season, according to STATS LLC --

Code:
[B]
Targeted Comp. Pct. Yards TD INT PD Rating[/B]
[B]Newman[/B] 373 170 45.6 2148 12 12 64 61.3
[B]Trufant[/B] 428 248 57.9 3119 24 9 65 90.7

The league appears to fear/respect Newman more, that speaks volumes in itself.

Man I wish Newman wasn't approaching 30 or this wouldn't even be a discussion but long term you have to go with Trufant... BUT right now, it's definitely Newman because teams don't even throw to his side of the field because they know it could go for a quick 6. Keep this mind though, Newman is a supreme athelete so he MIGHT be in the NFL longer than people think, remember Darryl Green?
