That was really obvious
There was no separation all day
I think it’s time to dig a little deeper in the playbook when you aren’t getting any seperations
More important it looked like lots of double coverage yet no underneath passes to pollard to attract coverage either
When the ball is late the seperation is not going to be good!

The Dak excuses thread continues… we’ve had the same WR core all year long when “Dak was doing Dak”.. I guess we got excuses for Rush against the Eagles now?

how many “Dak-friendly” WRs we got to invest in?

this time ladt year, you guys were telling us Amari couldn’t get open or was giving up on routes.

Tell me how much separation 98 had over the middle on this pick 6? Let’s also ignore the fact Dak was staring down the WR the WHOLE WAY which allowed the defender to create no separation, as he broke on the route. But blame MOORE or the WRs, not the fact Dak is just an early read QB.

Got to love the Dak fan-boys. None of these stats tell us anything about the separation a particular WR or TE had, when Dak didn’t even bother looking their way when he decided to throw to a receiver even if we assume they didn’t create much separation.

This whole team is pitiful. Just pitiful all around. Is there a single bright spot on this team? Because I don’t see one.

Dalton - 1.5
Gallup - 1.7
Brown - 1.7
Lamb - 3.4

I’ve seen some poor separation stats but this is among the worst I’ve ever seen for a single game from 3 of your top 4 receivers.
I think those should be negative numbers. Those are very generous numbers. I think they are actually inches, not yards.

Receiver runs route, makes cut, 3 yards separation, QB looks,,,pats ball.... looks.... throws.... OMG the receiver can't get separation!

Also worth mentioning, back in the days before this softwaregeeksadvancedstats bs, "had a step on the defender" was considered open. 3 steps was better but 1 step was considered open.

I don't like the way Noah Brown runs his routes. When you're running an out, you have to stop and cut super sharp, not round it off. When you round it off, you leave room for the DB to under cut it. Not sure how guys like this make it to the league.

Is Kellen Moore at least attempting to scheme and call any plays which would give the WRs an better opportunity and higher odds to create separation?

Todd Bowles will bracket Lamb the whole game and blitz Dak up the middle. Wait for it folks
That's what I would do. Edges are more vulnerable, though. Smith is having a hard time on the right side.

If Dallas is able to get the running game going, it gives us a chance as they need the extra defender in the box & takes some pressure of Dak to do everything.

Gotta say more often than not i see our receivers shadowed like crazy, and yet on the opposite end our defense has theirs constantly wide open.

Gonna have to be creative with motioning and stacking the WRs making it harder to do so. But I agree, this has to be the expectation coming out of TB.

I've been saying this all season, last game was a really obvious one. There has been a couple good games, but it's a real problem. Would love to see a season average chart and how our receivers stack up against the league.

Last time I saw the stat we were near the bottom of the NFL…it’s been an issue all year.

This seems like defenses have figured out Moore's scheme.

ROFL, Why would anyone break down stats from a week 18 game???A week that fantasy leagues ignore because it is such a meaningless mess.
Did you guys not realize they went out and played a base offense/defense game???

FWIW on the YEAR:
https://nextgenstats.nfl.com/stats/receiving#average-separation
Michael Gallup (coming off injury) 2.3 yards of seperation per catch.
Amari Cooper 2.5 yards of separation per catch.
Noah Brown 2.4 yards of separation per catch.
