The Dak excuses thread continues… we’ve had the same WR core all year long when “Dak was doing Dak”.. I guess we got excuses for Rush against the Eagles now?

how many “Dak-friendly” WRs we got to invest in?

this time ladt year, you guys were telling us Amari couldn’t get open or was giving up on routes.

Tell me how much separation 98 had over the middle on this pick 6? Let’s also ignore the fact Dak was staring down the WR the WHOLE WAY which allowed the defender to create no separation, as he broke on the route. But blame MOORE or the WRs, not the fact Dak is just an early read QB.

Got to love the Dak fan-boys. None of these stats tell us anything about the separation a particular WR or TE had, when Dak didn’t even bother looking their way when he decided to throw to a receiver even if we assume they didn’t create much separation.

Going over the tread you are the only one who even mention Dak. There is no excuse for Dak play and there are no excuses for the routs that were called. Dak pick 6 plain and simple was on Dak. Overall the WR were not getting any separation. Was not seeing Lamb being put in motion. Has nothing to do with Dak or his overall play. You are accusing people of making excuses for Dak? dude you are the only one talking about Dak

Dalton - 1.5
Gallup - 1.7
Brown - 1.7
Lamb - 3.4

I’ve seen some poor separation stats but this is among the worst I’ve ever seen for a single game from 3 of your top 4 receivers.

What’s TY Hilton’s?

Kellen Moore needs to run more plays that get players open. Go watch other contenders and the scheme this stuff. We try to run curls and **** that have no chance at anyone getting open outside of lamb because he actually has the ability to do it. We need to cater the gamelan to making it easier not harder on ourselves.

It is hard to get separation on piss-poor route designs. We have an OC who is in over his head who looks better than he actually is by the talent on offense.

What about Hilton? The cut Washington to keep Hilton. I know he let a couple of balls go off his hands and I didn't see him open much.

So how is it that the Washington DBs were able to stay with the Cowboys WRs the entire game. I mean, they smothered them. I know Washington has a pretty good defense but they lost 8 games this year.

How much of this is on the playcaller too?
If you’re talking about the OC it’s all on him. There isn’t a person on this planet that thinks Noah Brown has enough agility or route running prowess to consistently beat a DB on an out-route or even a simple slant. And I like Noah Brown considering the road he’s traveled but you gotta be realistic about his limitations.

Same goes for Gallup.

For ****’s sakes Kellen just copy everything Andy Reed does. Who cares if you get called out for plagiarizing his playbook!

this is a good stat but used stupidly in a conversation, topic, or a football argument. I can see if using this if there was 0.something separation, but if you have 1 yard then this stat should not be used.
A good QB will take a yard separation, because he can place the ball complete it, if he's accurate, and if his receiver catches the ball, but if he's scared he's not going to throw the ball no matter how good he is or can be.
The top QBs will take 1.5 separation all day everyday

But it matters…separation makes everyone’s lives easier in the passing game and allow more room for error.

Mahomes is the best in the business and his WR corp is 8th in the NLF in average separation yards per target. We’re outside of the top 30.

Well then you must be aware that Dak leads the league in tight window passing and is second for week 18 behind Joe Flacco and the Jets.

And way too much non-fact in this post. Davante Adams and Tee Higgins can win with 1.5 yds of separation. Gallup and Brown? Not even close.

This is the proof needed to silence those blaming everything on our QB. What's frustrating is one watching the game and seeing the same "separation" drastic results all game long, yet some posters coming out and straight out lying about what happened just so they can continue with their Dak hatred while calling you a moron for simply not agreeing with their lies and criticism.
