You are famous! Your post has provided some fodder over at the awful Extreme Skins sight (post #51). Their thread is started by celebrating Romo's injury by showing him on the ground several times. What say you SkinsHokieFan.

LOL. I don't think anyone has suggested that the team IS GOING to tank on purpose.
I think what people said is that it might be better long term if they do lose out.
What does being upset at homers have to do with being upset with life outside of this forum? Where is the correlation? I see lots of people using this flawed logic and it just doesn't make sense. People get upset with others when they are not being rational. He has a right to be irrational but others have a right to call him out for being irrational, and it has no impact on how they live their lives outside of this forum. Does this make sense?
We're 2 games back with 5 to go. When will people give up the dream? When we're 3 games back with 4 to go, or do we have to be completely mathematically eliminated?

Not that I like our chances without Tony, but you say that like those are extreme circumstances. Gaining 2 games in a 5 week span happens all of the time in the NFL (We gained 3 games on Philly in the final 4 in 2014 btw).
Most will give up the dream if the Cowboys lose to Washington on Monday night. They'll be a well rested team and reality will set in with most with another loss. I said 3 weeks ago the Commanders schedule plays in their favor and that they have a chance to get on a 2 to 3 game run. If they beat the Cowboys on Monday night that will give them 2 straight wins with some very winnable games left.
No it doesn't. To take it to the level that many have thus far over someone's optimism on an NFL forum is scary. Agree and disagree is fine. Everyone has varying opinions and not everyone sees eye to eye. But you can 'feel' the animosity towards 88Irvin all because he thinks the team can win the division. Like, people are legitimately mad at him for being optimistic. If something like that upsets you so much, then yes, perhaps your life outside of this forum isn't all smiles and hallmark cards...
In my opinion.
It's kinda funny. As soon as Romo went down in the Philly game, I started thinking of likely outcomes and I stuck by my conclusions the entire 7-games losing streak and the return of Romo. I said our biggest threats would be NY and Philly, and that we'd need to be no more than 2 games back when Romo returned. The team I always said wasn't a threat was Washington because I knew we'd play them twice after Romo returned, so we'd control out own destiny against them, unlike NY and Philly. Now, NY and Philly have imploded, Washington is in 1st place, and Romo is out for the season again and we still haven't played Washington yet. They went from our smallest to our biggest threat in the matter of one collarbone.
But 88Irvin is also spewing negativity towards posters who are down on this team by saying that they have "loser mentalities" or that they're not "true fans." It's natural to have a little animosity toward one another when you have conflicting opinions, especially the way this season has gone. Honestly, I think that the majority of the Cowboys fan base is fed up with the organization and the coaching. Losing 7 games in a row will do that to people, and when other fans come in on their rainbows and lollipop horses by claiming that anyone who isn't pumping the same amount of sunshine as they are, aren't true fans, well that gets people upset and rightfully so. No one who continually posts on this board would waste their time if they weren't fans of the team in some capacity. Some are more "die hard" than others, but that doesn't make anyone a "bigger fan" than another, simply because they have blind faith.
When Romo went down the worst case scenario was the Cowboys losing every game without him and unfortunately that was realized. That pretty much killed any realistic chances the team had. Can't figure out why the OP has the Cowboys beating Washington twice when the Commanders are currently playing the best of any team in the division and we usually split with them most years. Even last season we split with them.
Spewing negativity after being ruthlessly attacked for supporting our team... it has been extremely frustrating to lynched for believing in our team, with Dez now healthy, T Williams, Witten, McFadden, Beasley, our vaunted Oline, Sean Lee and our D playing well, we are on the cusp, and are by no means getting blown out in these very close losses.
The Cowboys will be vindicated very soon... many on here will regret losing their heart.
.People are fooling themselves.
We couldn't gain 2 games if the rest of the division lost here on out. Gaining 2 games with 7 to go would've been tough if Romo stayed healthy and ran the table. Gaining 2 games with 5 to go with Cassell/Moore without running the table is virtually impossible.
If the rest of the division loses out, the Cowboys win the division. It would mean the Cowboys got 2 wins and would win tie breakers.
