TO is a serial offender who was already on thin ice. He couldn't afford to be late anymore.

If by "in house" you mean covered up or kept quiet, then hell no.

This is like the parents of a bully making excuses for their little monster and blaming his schoolyard victims instead. Cognitive dissonance in action.

I'm not going to take the time to break up your argument - it isn't worth it. To your first point - yes he is a serial offender and should not be late. I don't see what that has to do with Haley. He broke a team rule and should be reprimanded for it by whatever the rules are.

Your second point isn't a point. It isn't about 'covering up.' It is a team action. Every little thing he does doesn't have to be reported. Just because you want to hear about it doesn't mean you deserve to. It's a team rule he broke, he should be reprimanded by the rules. End of story.

As for your third point...I'm not really sure I know what it is. It makes no sense. No one is vindicating TO - he broke a rule. The point is, HALEY DID AS WELL. Plainly put, he broke the rule put in place by his superiors. You don't get a free pass for that. You break the rules, you suffer the consequences. the rule that he broke carries a much larger consequence, because it is more hurtful. If he doesn't leak the story, then the preceived distractions are not as deadly to this team. And, because we have very little information as to what happen, we have no idea if Haley was 'victimized.'

you have to remember that BB lives in his own strange little world where he is right and everyone else is wrong. Trying to explain that the Boys are a private corporation and the owner can make any rule he wants to and enforce it in any way he wants to just sails over his head. He whines and cries about his right to know- BB- you have NO RIGHT TO KNOW ANYTHING. Got that? Or is that too complicated for you to figure out?

How did we know TO and Haley were no longer speaking to each other? TO "leaked" it. That was definitely an "in-house, private team matter" too. Therefore, TO should be disciplined. Ta da.

Not speaking to each other outside of football is neither a team issue, nor is TO forbidden to talk about the team. TO stating that he isn't going to talk to Haley about non-football matters is not the team's concern. In fact, TO also explicitly said that he will continue to converse with him about football matters as a coworker.

ta da:rolleyes:

This whole "conversation" is ignorant. This is black and white, right and wrong, clear as day (unless Haley isn't the leak). Not even worth debating, 3 year olds can figure this out.

I don't see how the Cowboys can fire Haley in the middle of the season, but he may be gone after the season is done.

Thay may have to pay him for the year, depending on his contract. But if he violated a company policy, they have the right to terminate him at any time.

As GM, Jones will have to weigh how much of a negative impact would occur if he cut Haley now. Haley's primary responsibilities are to oversee the wide receivers and the passing game. Chris Palmer's and David Lee's main focus are the quarterbacks. Tony Sparano is the assistant head coach, but his emphasis is the offensive line and running backs.

Any of these gentleman could take over Haley's duties, but it could cause a significant disruption in the offensive gameplanning philosophy which has existed up to this point. Parcells' could, but I doubt that he wants to reduce his supervision of Zimmer and the defense, which is his forte.

If I were Jones, I would allow Palmer to take over all of Haley's duties. Palmer has the most offensive coordinator experience on the staff. It would be easiest (and smartest, imo) transition of the three best candidates.

Doesn't Parcells have that high school coach on speedial? He did say the guy could be a qb coach or wr coach.

I don't get it. You guys want Haley FIRED???? He's worked wonders with a bunch of scrubs! It looks like he may even get a couple of #2 and 3 receivers from the bunch of no name FA's he got! And you want him fired? He broke team policy, he'll get fined and be in Tuna's doghouse for awhile (if he didn't put him up to it), but firing probably the best position coach we have?:bang2:

Me? Nope, but I'm puzzled. It's Jerry Jones who has been quoted as saying that he will discipline Haley, not I. To what extent will be the punishment, I do not know. Me? I'm just a cyber poster with an 'unhealthy obsession' speculating on an internet forum.

Maybe if you :bang2: on Valley Ranch's front door, you'll get all the answers you're seeking from the main man himself. Just a suggestion.

I'm sorry I got the idea that you thought Haley should be fired and Palmer should take over for him. I missed the part where you just started speculating IF JJ fires him.:
