Again I'm not a Romo apologist, & place plenty of blame on him
as the Cowboys QB. But you're arguing apples, while everyone else
is arguing oranges.

Ben, Eli and Rivers all have more passing yards then romo, Ben and Eli both have more td passes and Rivers only trails by 3. Ben and Eli have 3 Superbowls between them, and Rivers has an AFC championship game to his credit. Now if you want to continue to believe romo is better then these 3, go right ahead and while those teams continue to win in the future as they have in the past while this team continues to lose, that will be fine with you as long as romo continues to pad his stats.

I like winners, and all 3 have all won more then romo, esp Ben and Eli. Can that be argued, no because romo has no playoff wins and no Super Bowl wins. While those 3 continue to prove why they are winners, what has romo won yet in the NFL? I want a winner, you want a stat padder which aren't exclusive to one another.

Did you just quote stats to support your argument for your "big three's" statistical superiority over Romo... And then state that stats mean nothing when they support Romo's case?

But it's pretty obvious, to most, just by watching them play who has a better skill set and athleticism. I'll take Romo over the 3 you mentioned any day and hope the REST of the TEAM is up to par to winning playoffs and championships.

BTW...who would you rather have leading your team? Marino....or your choice of Trent Dilfer and Brad Johnson?

Any NFL fan should be able to look at Marino (and Elway for the first decade of his career) and realize how much of a better QB they are than Dilfer and Johnson.

Romo's 2008 season can be understood fully by simply looking at Marino's or Elways down years (they all have them) and realizing that 08 was an off year (with injuries) for Romo.

Any sane, lucid fan would understand how important the other 52 guys are to a quarterback's success.

Anyone without their own agenda to nurture could look at Montana's or Marino's or Elways or Mannings or Brady's off years and understand that almost every year, these guys go home without a championship. That doesn't make them bad QB's or losers.

Heck, Brady had the best season for any QB (arguably) in 07 and he still went home without a Lombardi. What about the year's the Pat's miss the playoffs? What about when P. Manning misses the playoffs? Are people arguing that they are losers that offseason?

Ah... I'm going to stop because RRCF isn't going to listen to reason. It doesn't matter to him because he has picked the anti-Romo point of view to argue and by God, he's going to argue that side as best he can and never concede that common sense says he's insane.

Herein lies the point we're endeavoring so tenaciously to impress upon you: Not one of Roethlisberger, Eli, or Rivers has "better career stats" than Tony Romo. Quite the opposite, actually. Romo has better career stats than any one of them.

Arguments about whether Romo is in the top 5 or not miss the point. The point is that he is good enough to win the Superbowl for the Cowboys, and you don't throw away a QB like that in the hopes of finding a Manning or Brady. I personally think that Romo is in the 6-7 range, but if Eli and Roethlisberger can win a SB than so can Romo. It's why I preach patience with Campbell. He's an average QB that has improved every year. It wouldn't take much for him to become a top ten QB, and that's good enough to win the SB.

Top 5? Again, as I've said before, who really cares? Does it matter? He's good enough to keep this team competitive and in the hunt every year, and that's all that really matters.

Now, if we get to the playoffs this season and next, AND he contributes to losing the big games, then we'll have a serious issue with Romo. Until then, I'm very happy to have him as our starter.

Ryan is a very good QB as is Romo. It is a team sport and just as it is with Romo, Ryan is not going to win a championship alone no one does. I'm sick of tired of the whinning about Romo he is a damn good QB we are lucky to have him as our QB. Does he have things he needs to improve on of course he does but this team did not lose or fail because of Romo

I thought Romo the QB led a nice drive to set up the win in that Seattle game. That guy did not choke at all. Now, Romo the kick-holder is who screwed up.

Romo didn't give up two runs of 80 yards against Baltimore. Romo didn't give up 35 points to the St. Louis Rams. Romo didn't surrender two special teams TDs against Arizona.

Yes he did....well, kind of. He wasn't out there to tackle McGahee and McClain, and he missed the block against Sean Morey in overtime too. Yeah, he pretty much stinks.
