Love my 2000 Chevy Silverado 1500.... People come up and ask if it's for sale all the time.
Ill keep it for another 20 years. In today's world, we can get replacement parts for everything. Im about to replace the carpets. Go on amazon and pow.... brand new carpet kit specifically for our truck. Door parts, plastics.. anything we need can be replaced. It sure isnt like the old days. So we can keep our "old," trucks looking good.

IM posting this after listening to people WHINE on the Sunday Ticet thread about the price. So the NFL + Premium plan is only 99 dollars. It gives you both full game and condensed game as well as redzone channel. So if you are so broke you cant afford Sunday ticket, you can afford this. I think the real problem is people expect everything to be for free.

I have had this for the past 3 years and personally love it. If I had to, Id just stay away from games until Cowboys game is over, and as soon as it ends, you could come to this and watch the game.
Not one owner paid for their stadium without tax payers. Not one owner paid a ticket price to go into that stadium that tax payers paid to build and paid the tax on the ticket price. Not one owner when the NFL was tax exempt, paid taxes for the team income to subsidize us. Not one owner gave tax payers money back from TV contracts that free TV viewership allowed them to bargain to make more money with paid TV.

So, Football should be free. We already paid for it. I already paid for it and I am not paying again.

Dont pay, but you think Amazon got tax breaks and subsidies also? Do you get free Amazon products?

Communities are far better with a team than without.

Your tax dollars pay for roads and highways. Do they still charge you tolls for highways and bridges?

nothing wrong with that.... but others are whining they charge too much. Well Checy and Ford charging 80k for a truck is too much also.... which is why I keep my 2000 silverado.
Yup. I'm sure they base it on supply and demand. As far as a vehicle I'm really thinking of buying 2 true gas hogging cars and put them in storage so I'm not forced to buy a car with a Duracell powering it....just waiting for the prices in cars to come down a bit,lol

Same here but I'm starting to think that it's not going to come down much at all when it does. The powers that be like it that way.

EVERYTHING is controlled by those in power. I had a thread in here last year or the year before talking about how rigged ticket prices are on sites like Ticketmaster, Stubhub, Gametix, SeatGeek and the like. All I got was well, dont go if its too expensive.. (ironic considering the thread on NFL+) I even wrote my Congressman explaining how these fixing of ticket prices is a scam and a monopoly. I got nothing... but boom, let it happen with Taylor Swift tickets and Congress was having hearings within 2 weeks.

Us common folk are at the mercy of big business. Always have been and always will be.

I never said it was a replacement for anything. i watch 99% of my games live. But I also watch the replay when I come home from live games as you see things you iss live.

I was simply giving a much cheaper alternative to those in another thread doing the yearly whine fest about the price of the Sunday ticket.
I'm just saying it's not an alternative. If I'm in a whorehouse and I think the ladies are too expensive, giving me men as a cheaper option is not an alternative. But to each his own.

I coached sports for 20 years. During Fall, we always had tournaments, so I missed most games live. But I taped them. I made sure I stayed off the internet and didnt go near a tv while at our games. Then I would go home, turn on th egame (even though it had been over for hours) Id watch the game and it was as if it were live.

Anyone can do the exact same thing using NFL+... so yes, it is an alternative, and a pretty good one. Considering the fact you get RedZone, as well as NFL Network thrown in, plus the ability to watch any local games LIVE, I think it is a pretty good product.

I am not sure if it will give you the Thursday night games that are on Amazon though.

I wonder how much NFL Sunday Ticket for Students will cost? In the past $99.

NFL+ vs Sunday Ticket for Students.

Ok, but for me that's not a viable alternative. What am I supposed to do on Sunday? Not watch any games? If you watch a game you get score updates. I watch games at home with friends or in bars, I'm not going dark until the games are over. That's not an option.

My issue with Sunday ticket has nothing to do with money. It could be 100 bucks and I wouldn't get it. The product I would be getting besides what I'm getting for free isn't worth it to me. I already get NFL Network and have Amazon Prime. I could add Redzone at a much cheaper cost but don't choose to do so because I couldn't care less about the product. It would be wasted on me.

Anyone here ever watch Seinfeld? NFL+ Premium is equivalent to giving the homeless the muffin stumps. Here is an alternative to whining about the price of muffins. You can get the stumps at a really low cost.

I would not want to watch a Cowboys game for the first time with the plays just back to back in a fast forward broadcast.

Where's the drama in that? Not even time to get into it or celebrate the big plays.

Sounds like watching a documentary on the mating habits of the duckbill platypus.

I’m a local so I thankfully get all the games without any problems. I took issue with the post because I felt it came across as demeaning to those that potentially may not be able to afford to spend their money in this manner.
Exactly, who is he to say who can and cant afford something. Maybe he should walk in the shoes of someone who been a fan for 50 years and forced on disability and needs every cent for groceries, medical, rent, car ect..

It's pretty much a personal preference. That was the reason for my last sentence in that post. For me it's just not workable. How do you avoid scores? If you watch any game, scores are going to pop up.
I don't watch any games during that time if I wanna watch the cowboys later. It isnt easy but yeah....

I agree... I only watch the condensed version upon returning home from being at the game live.

I grew up in poverty. Have you ever had to heat water on an electric stove to take a bath because the gas was shut off? I have.
I missed a week of school because my only pair of shoes were stolen. I know what being poor is like.

For those that are truly low income in older years and cant afford certain things... I have lots of empathy.

For those that have a new iphone every year with new cars and then complain te Sunday ticket is too expensive.. zero empathy.

its easy enough if you really want to. Get outside, get the yard work done, get some work on the cars done. The Cowboys only have 2 games the entire season with a 10 am eastern start time. That means you get to always watch the early games, then just stay away for the late game and as soon as the game ends, bam, turn on the replay. Ideal??? Not for me as I play fantasy and no way am I not watching those games as they happen. It is so important to me to watch them live.... thats why Im either paying or streaming. We all set our own priorities.

I think people whine about is having to pay for ALL the NFL games when they only want to get a few of the Cowboys games that are not on national TV. I used to buy the Sunday ticket for the few Cowboy games that weren't on living in New England. Now it's only about 3 maybe 4 games out the 17 that are not. So I find other ways to watch those. If the package was less money I would buy it.

So you think that from my post about the NFL ticket you can surmise that I throw money around and am in massive debt? lol...
I own a 2000 Chevy Silverado that I paid 7k for in 2007
2006 Suburban I paid 9k for in 2012
2005 Honda CBR 1000rr I paid 3k for in 2009
So what can you say about me now with that info?

You are right... I do go to games and I can afford to go to games. Partly because of the info I just shared with you above. I dont drive a 90k truck, I still have my 20 year old jet skis, not a new boat. I just bought 300 dollars worth of clothes from the closeout section of epic sports for about 50 bucks. Trust me, I am cheap.

I also own a few more cars, but I made my point above.

And If someone cant afford things I have no issue with that. I have issue with all the damn whining. What is or isnt expensive is very subjective. So why not just say I cant afford that.... not oh my God they are trying to take us all to the cleaners with that price, I need a second mortgage, wha wha and more wha.
Even if fans can’t afford it , if they feel the price is too high then they have the right to critique .

Obviously it affects how you feel cause you don’t like fans stating something is too expensive or overpriced .

Amazing from someone who appears to be frugal and cost conscience except when it comes to the Cowboys. Sounds like a pile of crap to me .
