I think that is it .......he would have the same number of snaps that Cleary has if he was healthy

I just think Free is already replacement level but is costing 5m per.....I would much rather go with younger, stronger, cheaper.........are we a drafting team or not?????

I would rather pay Leary than give Free another 5m

BOOM!! Such a good point, touché, B

With the commitment we made to TCrawford you would think they would put him in the best position to dominate......instead we use him as a crutch to fill in as a band-aid

We will know about Tapper and Gregory soon enough....they will be in or gone forever imo by March

What else are you going to do with Crawford when we don't have anyone else close to being an NFL level DE but we have a few guys that can play DT?

Play the best guy at their respective position? Cmon, bro. TCraw was moved because he wasn't producing, not because of our lack of DE talent.

10% sal cap increase means every free agent is gonna want 10% more than guys that signed a year ago. Cap space is all relative. We aren't going to have a lot of it and the front office is already tapping the brakes on spending for free agents. I don't see us doing much in free agency.

He is still a far better DT than he will ever be a DE.

As far as Chaz Green goes, we all have been thinking he was out due to foot/ankle injury. It comes out today on twitter that he has a herniated disk. He isn't ever going to be our full time RT.

Thanks Landry fan, the last thing I ever want to do is to insult or dis anyone. There's too much of that in the world already. Have a good one bro!
Thanks, Locimus. I read enough of your posts to know that you're well-intentioned. You have a great one too, my friend!

Funny how no one is saying the NYG blew it spending 200m on their D after Sunday Night

Jenkins, Vernon, Harrison would look good in Blue and Silver too

I was more impressed by Landon Collins who they drafted and didn't waste money on.
Blowing 200 million on defense is why their offensive and running back group look like it does. Its why they put up 10 points against our defense.

Giants had an answer for us, they haven't had an answer for everyone. And that 200M has got them fewer sacks than they had a year ago.

Yeah I still wouldn't blow 200 million on the players they got. Jerry Reese had to blow that money because he kept screwing up the draft and personnel on that team and now he's in a hole to where he has to watch and pray he can get Eli a offensive line.

Baseball has revenue sharing without a salary cap and please don't use MIL as a small market case

Bud Selig milked millions out of MLB to protect his franchise at the expense of the NYY and got a stadium built for free...........OAK is being phased out of revenue sharing because they pocket the money instead of spending on players

The fans will take care of a franchise if they skimp.........do you really think JAX, SF and CLE are competing at 60m under the cap????

Revenue sharing in baseball still doesn't make it equitable. They don't share everything, especially their TV money.

The NFL has a single TV deal, which is divided equally. I realize that isn't practical for baseball, but it's still not fair for small markets.

NFL teams can keep their stars easily by different means. Small-market teams in baseball can't keep their star players.

they went from 30th to 7th in D and from 6 wins to 9+

but keep up the weak takes

The cap is a myth. You can manipulate it any way you want to, and it will always grow to absorb your mistakes.

It's a built-in excuse for owners to keep their costs down. That's not necessarily a bad thing because baseball was ruined by no cost structure at all.

Not sure it's really an excuse to keep their costs down, per se. It's designed to keep their costs proportional to revenues. Whether or not those costs increase and at what rate depends entirely on league growth, which is pretty sound thinking. Can't imagine the league as a whole would do well if costs were increasing faster than revenues.

Like you said, it's not necessarily a bad thing.
