I don't care how many starters either team had. The bottom line to me is that Dallas was on cruise control and played horrible. It could have been all 22 regular starters and it would not have made an ounce of difference. They played with all the heart of a skeleton.

Your the one trying to justify a loss. A win speaks for itself. But you have no end to excuses, do you? What was the reason we won 35-7 in 05? It's never, hey, you guys played better and we lost, it's always, well, we SHOULD have won if ONLY we had cared, or the refs hadn't been against us, or Crayton not dropped the ball, or something. And the sad part is your team and head coach reflect the same attitude.

Do skin fans honestly believe the skins were so good that game that the they held the boys to -2 yards and the boys where playing as tuff as they could and not just going threw the motions?

Have you ever seen a team "just put in the second string" to start a game? There is a reason teams don't do that. You guys were playing well, I'll give you that, but you've pointed out that two of our arguably best players were out (in positions where we had little to no depth)....and then there is the fact that many of out other starters were only playing with limited snaps. Either way, we clearly were not giving you our best shot. I don't have to justify anything. You won, and no one cares.

How would I rate the significance of 2008 for the Cowboys and the Skins? Well, given it hasn't started, it would be hard to ascertain. It would vary depending on the situations. I'm not sure what you are going for here...

As far as significance, obviously it was more significant for the Commanders than the Cowboys. Nobody is arguing that. It doesn't excuse the loss and lack of heart though and even if you had all your starters in, we were playing better football for the 3 games prior.

I don't know dude, I haven't seen anybody real upset over the early exit. Nobody (to my knowledge) has said, man, we really need to prove ourselves this year. Seems like everyone is resting on their laurels saying, we'll, we were 13-3 and we've got a lot of talent. Nobody has shown that fire.

In the 1970 season Dallas basically had Super Bowl V stolen from them by the refs. In 1971 I don't remember the players making mention of that one time. Not once. In Super Bowl VI we dominated the Dolphins and allowed the fewest points in Super Bowl History.

In 1991 we got blown out by the Lions in the Playoffs. I don't remember the 1992 team talking. In 1992 we won Super Bowl XXVII.

In 1994 we lost a heart breaker to the 49ers in the NFC Championship. In 1995 I don't remember the players talking. We just went out and won Super Bowl XXX.

I'm not making excuses. I was using those things called facts to try and explain to your brethren that the Cowboys obviously didn't make much of an attempt to win that particular game.
