I'm not fine with it because it will again be a mockery of the NFL's already ridiculous player behavior policy.

Suh has done it before, and he did it again. Anybody looking at the tape can clearly see it. There is zero benefit of the doubt with this player. He deserves to be punished and the only way to do it is suspension.

Hurt him the way that he intended to hurt other players.

Cool.

You're clearly more worked up over the validity of a policy that has zero bearing on me or my life.

He may very play, but in the end I think the league needs to come down very hard on him, this is pathetic, he is putting players at risk with his stupid stunts. Fine do not work with him, getting suspended which he has before does not work with him it is time for the league to sends a message this is not acceptable

Completely agree.

In fact, I'd make it a 5-game suspension so that it carries over into next year and affects his next contract.

Hit him where it truly matters to him.

If the league suspends him, I'm certain he would appeal. Given that it's the playoffs, I would think that the league would hear and act upon the appeal quickly (as in this week). Having said that, with this league front office, one never knows what to expect.

Agree on former. I would hope they would decide before.

I would suspend him for no less than 1 year to get the message through that thick skull, he does not respond to any of these punishment and his action put players at an unneeded risk. Game is tough enough it does not need a thug out there trying to hurt players

Maybe I'm just more involved with what I feel is right and wrong. I'm big on good deeds being rewarded and bad deeds being punished.

Okay.

Awesome.

I don't care about the good deeds or bad deeds of players on the football field.

If Suh does something off the field that's great and deserves praise and reward I'll be right with you.

If he does something off the field that's vile and evil and deserves punishment I'll be right with you.

If he's a jackass on the football field and deserves punishment but just doesn't get it then I'm simply not going to care.

It's really pretty simple. I put no serious stock into the rights and wrongs done in the NFL by the NFL to the NFL players and so on.

I think the NFLPA should back the NFL in a very strong punishment, they talk away player safety by limiting practice and contact. Here you have a situation where NFLPA members are being put at an unnecessary risk by the actions of 1 man. His actions are deliberate. If NFLPA cares about player then stand up with the NFL and come down on Suh

Not to mention I find it hilarious that the league wants to pretend that they care about players being thugs on the field when it's the same league that celebrates the greatness of Jack Tatum, Jack Lambert, pretty much any Raider or Steeler defender in the 70's, and loves to talk about the great days of the league, put out shows talking about the greatness of the players of the past, when many of those said players were just as dirty, or dirtier, than a guy like Suh.

Even Dallas fans that get upset over a guy like Suh for being a dirty player but turn right around and praise how great Erik Williams was and how awesome it was to see his nasty demeanor on our O-Line. He was a dirty player too but he's applauded for it while others are "OH MY GOD!!! HOW DARE HE!!!!"

Before he died Decon Jones was one of the most beloved dudes the league had. They had him on shows all the time. The applauded his greatness. They loved him. That dude was clear as could be that he wanted to hurt people when he hit them. He wanted to take them out. He played nasty and didn't try to hide it.

So that's just another reason why I couldn't care less if the league decided not to suspend him.

Methinks thou dost protest too much!

Looks like a whole lot of time and effort devoted to something you "don't care' about.

You should probably start realizing that the limiting of practice and contact by the NFLPA has a whole heck of a lot more to do with not wanting to do as much, for more money, then it is about player safety. I know they tie it in the neat little bow of "Player safety" but in reality it's the players saying "We had training camp, and physical practices so lets cut out as much of those as possible."

Alright.

It's a message board.

I'm going to put the exact time and effort I want into something on a message board.

Just because a person posts on a message board doesn't mean they have a lot of personal care on a particular subject. It's talking about a subject that won't effect my day, or my life, one way or another going forward.

And if a few minutes of time and pretty much zero effort to hit some keyboard keys is a lot of time and effort for you then I'm sorry but that's your issue.

I think he will be suspended. They've been preaching protectecting QB's and it's Aaron Rodgers on on top of that. The NFL will make an example of him considering his past. JMO.

yep, and didnt goodell and suh sit down face to face a couple years ago about this stuff? I think that goes into it too

Maybe so but it is still their obligation as a union to make things as safe as possible for their members and having a rouge player out there trying to injure other should not be tolerated.

Different era of football.

To say nothing of it being a terrible apples to oranges comparison.

The examples he tries to mention did what they did to the other guy's face. Like a man.

And show me an example of where they cowardly stomped on a guy after a play was over?

I guess he also condoned Haynesworth's stomp on Gurode a few years ago too?

Cool.

And?

Doesn't change that I couldn't care less about the leagues supposed attention to safety and BS. They care about one thing and one thing only.

Money.

This is not about you. The safety issues affects money when big money players are being put at a risk due to dirty play
