At least Nance was trying to pimp the Romo for MVP narrative.. just too many haters and people with their head planted firmly right up their own *** to change it. Sad.

That's almost exactly what Simms said. He was taking shots at Cowboys and Romo haters all game I loved it.

Yep - BTW did you know Jim Nance was a HUGE Cowboys fan growing up in New Jersey. Had the bedsheets, the satin blue jacket, everything. Had to give it up when it looked like his broadcasting career would go national but he was one of us back in the day.

Romo is also over 70% in completion percentage. There was a long thread about who would be closer to 70% this year between Eli and Tony.

I'd like to go on record as saying anyone can go through ANY of my posts and I have ALWAYS said Romo was an awesome QB. Others, many of whom I respect, have said he sucks and we would never get anywhere with him under center. Nope. He's great, has BEEN great, and now has the highest QB rating in the NFL. Even without a playoff win, I think he's a HOF QB. It'll probably take a SB win, or at least a playoff win or two, to get him there, but I think he deserves it.

Look, i've always been pro-Romo but the anti-Romo crowd has a right to be. He has done nothing to not warrant the hate. You can say he doesn't have this or he doesn't have that but the criticism Romo has received has been warranted. Without it, we might not have the Romo we have today.

Totally disagree. We have always had this type of Romo. The only thing thats different is the team. Romo doesn't deserve the criticism he gets and not for one second. He has carried this team on his back thru 8-8 seasons with no Oline, no running game, and no defense. Now that he has all that he still doesn't get the nod as a great player.

Sometimes I find it hard to believe that some folks here are Dallas Cowboys fans. Stop listen to the mediots and BSPN fellas. Start preaching that Dallas is back and we have a great QB that can lead us to the promise land.

Can't wait to watch First Take tomorrow. It will be all they talk about. Not that I really give two s**** what either of these two yahoos think, but it should be at the very least, entertaining.

I disagree. I guess it depends on how good you think Romo is. I personally think he's closer to Aaron Rodgers then he is Andy Dalton. He's always been a top 10 quarterback even with his lack of success in the postseason.

So when I hear people say....."Oh well Romo doesn't have a great #2, great offensive line, great coaching or a great defense..."...its almost like people feel he needs a ALL PRO team in order to be successful lol. Tom Brady doesn't have great receivers. Aaron Rodgers doesn't have a great line.

Like I said, I'm Romo's biggest fan. I agree he has gotten unfair criticism. But in this league you are defined by your playoff success. Cowboy fans had no problem bringing up how Ware didn't make the "meaningful" sack or how he doesn't have much post season success.

This Romo we have today is not the Romo we have always had. I can't not agree with that. There was a time when Romo use throw INT's and it would be okay because its like throwing punts. The guy was careless with the football. He was known as a gunslinger. Very similar to Brett Favre. He's no longer that. So I can't sit here and say he's the same qb. As of right now he's far more effecient and careful with the ball than he ever has been. Now if you want to credit that to the offensive line than that's fine but this game isn't won just by a offensive line. There are times where the offensive line is going to miss assignments and we have to rely on Romo and he's come through. By far his best year as a Cowboy.

Romo has improved no doubt he will tell you that. But he never warranted the hate about his play or his character.

Is that what your comprehension skills got out of that sentence? Please, if you don't understand my sentence than ask but don't put words in my mouth. I have no problem clarifying my stance.

I agree 110% with you. BUT playing devils advocate......I also see the other side of the coin of those who criticize him for his lack of playoff success or appearances. I believe Romo is a elite talent in this league but I also understand the opposing argument for why he's not as well.
