really? a "significant portion"? you don't know what you're talking about.
don't use silly hyperbole to make your point.
and i am far from an eagles fan. and some of them can be really out of control.
but you guys sound foolish. carry on.

What is my point? I was stating an observation.

you are correct about generalizing. I am sure that one would find manys good people in Philadelphia and in the Amish countryside. I bet if i went to Pennsylvania people would offer to put up a barn for me.

You sound hysterical in your defense of Philly fans.

All I will say is that their reputation is well deserved.

What are you talking about? There are homeless people in every city wandering around.
I'm from Philly. I've been to many cities. There is not one Texas city I'd rather live in. Not a fan of rednecks.
Please provide me a source for your claims - you made the claim, back it up.
There are a ton of cities worse off than Philly. Actually over a ton. You don't even know the difference between "then" and "than" - Texas education.

It's also a very historic city.

Okay.

Already the poorest big city in America, Philadelphia also has the highest rate of deep poverty - people with incomes below half of the poverty line - of any of the nation's 10 most populous cities.

Philadelphia's deep-poverty rate is 12.2 percent, or nearly 185,000 people, including about 60,000 children. That's almost twice the U.S. deep-poverty rate of 6.3 percent.

The number of residents living in deep poverty here is roughly equivalent to the total populations of cities such as Salt Lake City; Tallahassee, Fla.; or Little Rock.

Philadelphia's deep-poverty rate "is a tremendous alarm bell of dysfunction and dangerous conditions," said Deborah Weinstein, executive director of the Coalition on Human Needs, a Washington nonprofit.

The public school situation in Philadelphia is grim. The district is broke. The governor cut more than $1 billion from the state's K-12 budget, which hit the state-controlled Philadelphia district hardest.

"That is not just the elephant in the room — that is the biggest scandal in our country today," she says. "We don't want to talk about poverty, and the people who call themselves reformers say, 'Poverty's just an excuse for bad teachers.' That's their way of saying, 'Let's not talk about poverty.' The whole state of Pennsylvania should be ashamed about what's happening in Philadelphia today."

Home to Highest Homeless Rate, Philly Lays Out Plan to Address it
In an unusually frank document, the city has laid out stark statistical descriptions of poverty in Philadelphia, accompanied by a plan to try to deal with the problem.

I could go on , but I've spent enough time on this. This isn't personal. Fact is, Philly is a hole.
And the actions of their sports fans is one way it manifest itself. Another way it shows itself, is by all the desperate , mentally ill, poor people roaming around looking, well, desperate and confused. It's actually sad sad that you defend this condition.
