Completely ridiculous with the so called "drama" in Dallas. Heard a little spoiler before commercial break saying " Dak's next start could spell big trouble". There is NO conflict or drama within our team. They are as focused and mentally tough as I have seen in a long time. So keep trying to fabricate some huge controversy in Dallas NFL Network, ESPN whatever. It aint happening.

Interest in the Cowboys is pretty high nowadays, even moreso than usual since we are winning. They can only show so many segments on how the Boys are doing so well. They need more, so they are reaching for whatever fabricated drama they can get (especially since this might appeal to the haters).

Skip Bayless, the self professed Cowboys fan keeps moaning that Dak is one bad game away from getting yanked for Romo even after Romo's concession speech. He knows he has to appeal to the haters as well as the Boy's fans to keep his show going.

Afraid we'll always have to put up with the hate and drama-inducing where there might be none. It's business. As Hostile used to say "Embrace It"

1. It's their job to "find" stories and any story with Cowboys and a possible controversy is always going to get clicks and ratings

2. With Tony's concession speech-- the team is now Dak's and there is more pressure than ever on him. If he is perceived to "choke" down the stretch or wets the bed, the media is going to go into a feeding frenzy. Nothing like watching an 8-1 Dallas team implode. There are MANY in the media who would love to watch that story play out.

I love Dak, but the moment he struggles I think many will turn on him and want Tony back in there. In a way-- unless Dak wins the SB this year, some people will view this season as failure. IMO-- that's crazy, but such are the expectations and the media swirl around this team.

Oh man, I've already seen posts here saying if Dak doesn't take the team to the NFC championship game, Tony is getting his job back. So yeah, it's definitely not just parts of the media that can't move on.

Yeah, I am noticing this too. I think Romo threw them (the media) a curve ball when he gave his press conference. They wanted to ride the whole QB situation for as long as they could, but Romo squashed that for anyone without an agenda. Now, they are left with trying to take a different angle. Either way, one thing still remains constant with them - drama in Dallas Cowboys land, even perceived or fabricated, still gets ratings.

I know man... I'm just going to enjoy the ride this year. We found our future QB, a potential perennial All-Pro RB, and we have one of the best offenses this franchise has put on the field.

Winning the SB would be a fairy-tale ending and I'd love it-- but this team has already far exceeded my expectations. When Romo went down, I thought 8-8 or 9-7 would be the most we could hope for. The fact we're contending with a number of our better players missing significant chunks of time is downright stunning.

Same here. They've already blown my expectations out of the water for the season. If we make the playoffs, and don't get blown blown out, I'll consider this a great season. At the end of the day, we just don't have the defense to likely make the kind of run that some fans are expecting this year.

Agree, I cannot stand ESPN and now NFL Channel forum is just getting old. It's basically the same characters and their same views on the same teams. They are trying to get cute with a few side stories and it's just boring. The only value I get are the game of week replays which provide some good sideline clips/vocal. Everything else is sleep material. Their worst is Sunday evening with Deion Sanders.

Agreed. I typically don't hate on Skip as much as some but this latest line of thinking (Dak being a bad game away from getting replaced) smells of Maury Povich. Yellow journalism at its finest. Smh.

NFLN is ran by the same guy that worked at ESPN.

TV Execs are not the risk taking type. Instead of trying something new and exciting and different, creating your own niche and blazing your own trail for success, they would rather go with the norm.

Do you all REALLY think that if Dak has an awful game or two, Tony Romo isn't going to be re-inserted into the line up?

Look, I understand the need to spice up this story for television, but there IS drama.

Romo did his best to cap it, but he still wants to play. He's a competitor. And even if he's helping Dak succeed, you know he wants to get out there and lead the Cowboys. He even said it.

That IS drama no matter how much you try to put a lid on it. And it will be that way as long as Romo is on the Cowboys roster.
