We cant put pressure with 4 against Philly
We are not disciplined
We are not physical
We dont tackle well

Besides that we can copy this blueprint
Wut? We are one of the top (if not the top) teams at pressure percentage in the entire league

DQ blitzes a lot— but not because we can’t generate pressure with guys like Parsons, Law, Osa etc…

If we are patient and rush 4, we can get home, make Hurts have to hold the ball, and make contested throws

If we blitz a lot, we actually help Hurts with hot reads and scrambles

Pressure kills any offense. Bills had one of the most explosive offenses in the late 80s to 90s, Cowboys shut that down killed them 52-17. Great defenses usually prevails, and unfortunately, the 40whiners have a great defense.

Rush 4, clog n cover, punish him when he runs. It’s not complicated. Force him to hold onto the ball and try to fit it into tight, contest windows
IM pretty sure the Cowboys have basically owned the Eagles for 5 years. Im pretty sure the great Dan Quinn knows what to do, especially since it is so "simple," as you say.

We will over rush with our speed rushers and have no middle LBer in the middle of field leaving huge run lanes
Exactly !! Way, way too much hero ball. I wish I was a coach on the sidelines. I'd be screaming to the Dline to maintain gap integrity and be disciplined in their rush. Sacks are great but not at the cost of letting Hurts rush for 150 yds.

We don't need SF's blueprint, we just need ours - which is to jump out to an early lead and force the other team into one dimensional passing offense. We can beat any team when that works.

This , we have to be able to play perfect zone D and cover short and intermediate routes very well blanketing the Receivers , at the same time safety play need to be sharp , not to get beat long. For that to happen , our pass rush has to get there keep him in pocket .

They want us to win because it would help them.

SF hates us worse than them. They weren't wearing any F,,,, Eagles shirts under their jersey like they did against us.

They just want 1 seed. Obviously
For Cowboys fans, that which helps the Cowboys has to trump that which helps the 49ers. So the Cowboys have to keep taking care of their own business and let the chips fall where they may.

If we play Parsons at DE, they will run at him
If we play him at LB and blitz him, thats not the front 4

Like i said, we cannot collapse the pocket and put pressure with our front 4 and certainly cannot stop the run all of which SF did

Yeah this defense it seems like everyone wants to rush the QB lacking that discipline to stay in their lanes.

cover the b-gap, force Hurts to stay in the pocket and force him to pass from the pocket. take away their running game and he will struggle.

we can't allow him to run.

The 49ers rarely pressured Hurts most of the game, they just rushed 4 and made sure he had no rushing lanes. Hurts struggled throwing into tight windows like most qb’s in this league. Many killed Dak last yr, but this was the same year hung that happened.
exactly. they sacrificed sacks to take away his running game and made philly one dimentional. they exposed Philly defense, as most teams have been doing. Hurts is not a pocket passer and when forced, he struggles.

Truthfully, the cowboys don’t rush with contain. That’s why you see QBs with legs take advantage. Bosa was incredibly disciplined in his edge rush. He would not go past where hurts dropped and as a DLine they wouldn’t let him scramble right. When he ran, it was to his left alot. He has plenty of time to throw but would they also were semi-spying him so if he tried to run there would be someone there. Micah could eat this game as middle linebacker and spy for hurts. Have Armstrong and DLaw set the edge and contain rush and then funnel runs to Micah and have him Spy hurts and the cowboys can win
very true. our defense is predicated on pressure, because despite our CBs, our pass defense is not that good. to your point that's why we give up too many yards to running QBs, which also worries me about Allan and the Bills. we have to be disciplined and contain the lanes and force them to stay in the pocket. both Hurts and Allan make mistakes when forced to pass from the pocket. play smart football

Their game was much more chippy than the Dallas/9ers game.
Yeah...it was just a more physical game. Sometimes you get into a really chippy game with a team that you don't even have history with...it just happens sometimes.

But SF hates us WAY worse than Philly.

SanFran and Philly really don't have much of a history.... when SF was great in the late 80s early 90s, Eagles were bad. When Philly got really good in the 2000's w/Andy Reid, SF was bad. They've rarely been good at the same time....and never had too many meaningful matchips or reasons to dislike each other. Philly has had much more bad blood with teams like Tampa, Minnesota, GB.

WE on the other hand...always seem to be good whenever SF is....and have butted heads in high stakes games for over 3 decades. Again...they weren't wearing "F*** Eagles" t-shirts. They care about Philly temporarily because they want 1 seed. With us...it's personal. "F*** Dallas"???? F*** the 49ers!!!!
