Wow they must hate the eagles too...for him to say "hope the cowboys watch the tape".
You wouldn't believe all the abusive crap I saw Eagles fans do to 49er fans after last year's NFC Championship. There was some of the typical stuff like complaints about a ref's bad call and then a "quit being a crybaby" post. Those aren't that bad. There were some posts like, "I'm glad that that Brock Purdy [explicative] got hurt." Then when 49er fans voiced legitimate complaints about Eagles fans harassing Purdy's girlfriend in Philly's stadium, some of the responses were too appalling to repeat word-for-word here. I remember one obnoxious fan said, "Right, they shouldn't have harassed her. They should have [forced her to do that thing she normally only does with Brock]." And the disgusting and abusive posts went on and on like that. So, yeah, I wouldn't be surprised if plenty of 49er fans have bad feelings about Philly fans. Plus, a Cowboys' victory over the Eagles could end up helping the 49ers to get the top seed. I could live with that. I always root against the Eagles no matter what. I think on Sunday, we'll have the unusually case of millions of 49er fans rooting for the Dallas Cowboys.

Wut? We are one of the top (if not the top) teams at pressure percentage in the entire league

DQ blitzes a lot— but not because we can’t generate pressure with guys like Parsons, Law, Osa etc…

If we are patient and rush 4, we can get home, make Hurts have to hold the ball, and make contested throws

If we blitz a lot, we actually help Hurts with hot reads and scrambles
We just have to be savvy with 4 upfront pressure so the Eagles don't get football pornographic on us with what's Behind The Screen Door!

exactly. they sacrificed sacks to take away his running game and made philly one dimentional. they exposed Philly defense, as most teams have been doing. Hurts is not a pocket passer and when forced, he struggles.
He makes all his big passing plays, when he breaks the pocket and rolls to the right. Force him to beat you inside the pocket!!

All my 9ers friends kept sending me memes of a picture from 1993 where a blood and a crip have a blue bandana and a red bandana tied. The put the Cowboys star over the crip and the 9ers logo over the blood. It said for this week the Cowboys and 9ers come together with a common enemy. It was hilarious.

They went on the road and held the 4th highest scoring offense to 19 points. We'd be fools to not be watching the tape and implementing aspects of their defensive strategy.

Bosa, reflecting on the game's outcome, suggested that their approach could serve as a valuable template for other teams, particularly highlighting the Dallas Cowboys as potential beneficiaries. "You see it on tape. We put the blueprint out there.

Hopefully, the Cowboys watch the tape," he remarked. The 49ers' strategy revolved around confining Hurts within the pocket and limiting his escapes through the B-gaps, a maneuver that significantly impacted the game's dynamics.

Reading fully is important but it never stops takes being from an opinion based on one line..................
The B gap stuff is very key. Jalen loves to escape there and get 1st downs.
Taking that away will make him very uncomfortable.

Dallas needs to be to be very disciplined in their pass rush as opposed to beating the guy in front of them by any means.

I posted early this week that Dallas got a huge advantage seeing what SF did and the Eagles have only 6 days to clean that stuff up.
It "should" be a factor here. Line is up to 3.5 points now.

The Cowboys aren’t the same kind of defense.
This is true. The 49ers defense did a great job shutting down the Eagles' offense. I don't think the Cowboys defense is as good at doing that. However, the Cowboys' D is better at getting turnovers. I think our D needs to get some of those turnovers for us to win. I believe it can.

They're bitter because they know they were infinitely better than the Eagles last year, and they lost both of their quarterbacks early in the NFC title game.

This is exactly right , the pass rush staying disciplined and not letting Hurts scramble through the be gap is key. It is the key. You do have to hold the edge and not let him get outside too, but he loves running straight upfield.

I’ve said since last season that the key to the whole Philly team is Hurts running. I knew defenses would study the film all off season and make things more difficult on Hurts and Philly.

When you let him run straight up through the B gap, he gets first down after first down. Last year, teams were struggling to keep him in the pocket and he converted about a million first down running. This made the passing windows wide *** open and the fact that Hurts’ accuracy is pretty bad didn’t matter.

Philly had crazy time of possession because they made a first down most of the time when they needed it… and this allowed their defense to stay fresh and play with a lead. Hurts was the engine that drove them last year.

Contain him and play good coverage and you have pretty much taken away everything that made them good.

Dallas absolutely needs to follow that blueprint. It is why Philly just isn’t the same this year, and as it becomes more evident that you have to limit Hurts running, they’re struggling more and more.

Without that very good OL and two good receivers they would have lost much more often this season.

Philly will have a different game plan this game than against SF, but it won’t matter… you will still have to not let Hurts get outside or rush up through the B gap. That makes him have to become a passer and he doesn’t have the accuracy or ability to read coverage to make a team pay.

Lots of criticism on Hurts this week. Bosa's comments. Greg Cosell also mentioned this week about the issues he's having, such as missing open WRs and leaving plays on the field. David Carr wanted him benched for a bit to get his knee right as he thinks he's not the same as last year. A few other analysts have also pointed these issues out.

It's certainly the Cowboys luck that all this is coming out now and then the dude goes off like a crazed dog against us. LOL.

Keep Hurts in the pocket and play good coverage and he should not be able to go off.

The Dallas defense also needs to make sure their running backs are relatively held in check. If Dallas does those two things, the game should fall like they want it to.

That will be the key. Stop the run game, and make Hurts read coverage and become a passer. It won’t be easy because their OL is very good.

If we can get some takeaways, that would also be a huge help. Hurts is an excellent athlete, but he's capable of making mistakes under pressure. I would love to see Bland get his next pick 6.

Yeah...it was just a more physical game. Sometimes you get into a really chippy game with a team that you don't even have history with...it just happens sometimes.

But SF hates us WAY worse than Philly.

SanFran and Philly really don't have much of a history.... when SF was great in the late 80s early 90s, Eagles were bad. When Philly got really good in the 2000's w/Andy Reid, SF was bad. They've rarely been good at the same time....and never had too many meaningful matchips or reasons to dislike each other. Philly has had much more bad blood with teams like Tampa, Minnesota, GB.

WE on the other hand...always seem to be good whenever SF is....and have butted heads in high stakes games for over 3 decades. Again...they weren't wearing "F*** Eagles" t-shirts. They care about Philly temporarily because they want 1 seed. With us...it's personal. "F*** Dallas"???? F*** the 49ers!!!!
Those rivalry days are gone. They left with FA and also when the NFL put rules on violent hits. Don't kid yourself, at the end of the day the players themselves can swap jerseys and hug. Sure there are a few guys like Kittle are trying to ignite that but mehhh the hate is gone.

Let’s See if Dallas can copy their script

He forgot to add that his LBer, CB and Safety brothers did an awesome job shutting down Hurts' targets. Hurts had more time to throw the ball in this game than any game I've watched him play in this season. On passing downs, the Eagle's O-Line did their job against a stud 9er's D-Line, he just didn't have anyone open to throw to.......LOL!!!!!! Now it's our turn to show the world who the real schoolyard bullies are..................
