For most of us when we remember being a jerk to a friend or family member when we were younger we feel really bad about it. Jerry just doubles down instead.

It would kill him to have to witness a stadium full of Cowboys fans celebrating that moment with Jimmy.

It's always been about him before the team.
Jones could hold a private ceremony minus fans if he so choose. He has absolute unquestioned autonomy over the process. It is exceedingly doubtful even he would follow through with that option but the possibility cannot be ruled out completely either.

Everyone wants Jerry to let bygones be bygones. Jerry is not solely responsible for the split.

Hopefully Jimmy outlives Jerry so that perhaps Stephen can do the right thing so this won't have to be a posthumous induction.
Jerry will probably have Stephen swear on his deathbed not to add Jimmy to the ROH. If Jerry were to outlive Jimmy I still don’t think he would put him in the ROH. He would be heavily criticized for not doing it while Jimmy was alive.

Jerry interjected himself into Jimmy’s HOF weekend just so he could be a part of the story, have the team/himself in the headlines. I don’t believe for 1 second he has or had any intention of putting Johnson in the ROH. And that is a shame but no surprise if you have followed this bozo for any length of time.

So petty.

yes he is , showing his true colors, and what type of person he is.
people who hold grudges 30 years are at least a little demented ! aka INSANE !!

Jerry felt jimmy leaving from only his perspective and considered it to be a betrayal.

He wanted jimmy to stay, do all the work, with jerry wanting all the credit/ glory, and making more $ each year .
and all the while for jimmy to put up with jerrys mouth and attraction to micro phones, and coming to sidelines and in locker room after games,
and all the other jerry meddling.

5 years of jerry is pretty much a limit for most sane people, only JG did more than 5 years, and would have done 20 ! lol

Not everyone. I have no allusions about Jerry Jones. Narcissists do not let bygones be bygones.

However, I want the media to pressure Jones by continually rehashing the question of Jimmy Johnson's induction. While not guaranteed, it is the only way to affect this type of mindset and suspend tendencies that accompany it.

A similar question should be posed as, "What makes Jimmy Johnson different from every other inductee he has put into the Ring?" The franchise's Ring of Honor is a permanent acknowledgment of the inductee's legacy. It is not a vendetta monument. That is how Jones' sees it in the case of Johnson. He should be forever pestered to answer why he treats the Ring in that fashion.
