So you are the expert and the rest of us are fools? I think not.bbgun;1402174 said:Ramsey is a flat out stiff. Give me the old timer.

Youth, hope, stronger arms, potential. Good for Johnson, but his best days are WAY BEHIND HIM.Cajuncowboy;1402197 said:Just give one thing that either Ramsey or Harrington has done to warrant all this love?
I can show you some thing that Johnson has done though.
He's been a team leader that other players looked up to. (Leadership) Harrington or Ramsey has not.
He's led a team to the Super Bowl and won it.(Big game experience) Harrington or Ramsey have not.
Pro Bowl QB (individual acheivement) Harrington or Ramsey? No.
Quote from Brad Johnson ""Your best teammates are guys you can trust, who play with passion and put the team first." (Willing to be a team player and mentor) Harrington or Ramsey? No.
Your turn.
What if Romo tears up his knee in game one and is gone for the year?ZeroClub;1402208 said:What Johnson brings is experience and a guy who can be a part of the Garrett / Wilson team that mentors Romo. Johnson can also serve as a stop gap starter, should Romo misses a few games.
Johnson brings no long term promise or potential.
With Herrington or Ramsey, you also get guys who can serve as stop gap starters. Both already have revealed themselves to be substandard starters; there is no reason to assume that they have the potential to become long term starters in Dallas.
The main difference between Johnson and Herrington/Ramsey is that Johnson is likely to be a better mentor for Romo while Herrington/Ramsey have the potential to hold down the Cowboys 2nd string postion for a longer time.
Given that choice, I'd go with Johnson.
Either way, though, the Cowboys would be in major trouble if Romo gets hurt for any significant period of time.
Bledsoe didn't want to stay because he has no chance to start.otero1;1402186 said:Should've just kept Bledsoe if we are going to sign Brad Johnson. They're like brothers.. except one has a ring.
....he's ancient.otero1;1402220 said:Also.. Brad Johnson would be a waste of money. Even if he did have the great talent that we needed in a back up. He would only be a rental player due to his age. I know he isn't old in regular life.. but in football years...

I lived in DC for eight long years, it stunk. That place has no quality of life. Ramsey would benefit from a fresh start, so would Harrington. All I'm saying is that Johnson is a big mistake if we go that route.bbgun;1402229 said:It's called living in DC, opening my eyes, and watching all of his games. He can't play. Thus concludes my "expert" advice.
The team would be scr*wed.philo beddoe;1402216 said:What if Romo tears up his knee in game one and is gone for the year?
We, therefore, need to secure a quality #2. That person is NOT Brad Johnson.ZeroClub;1402242 said:The team would be scr*wed.
The season would be over; we'd be reduced to talking about draft position.
And that's with Johnson, Herrington, or Ramsey as Romo's replacement. None of those guys are going to lead the Cowboys into the NFC Championship game if Romo goes down in Week 1.
