I think he'll get another shot. They need to wait until he's totally healed. Best case is he retires after leading us to a SB title. That would be a great ending. Just don't think he's going to hold up though.

I agree 100%. I know I'm sentimental when it comes to Tony. Probably because I always felt we had a chance with some horrible teams while he was our QB and now that we are showing some promise 2014 and on...Some are throwing him under the bus and blaming him for all of those years.

Not picking on you in particular, just my own frustration so please don't take it personally.

What if he throws an interception and we win? Will half boo and half cheer? Will the Romo hating fans be mad after the game even though we won? I bet they will because they have always hated him and just have a new reason to now.

If Romo throws a interception down in the Redzone he will absolutely get booed. If he plays in the Eagles game and Carson Wentz is playing well Romo better be flawless or the fans will turn on him.

Plus I remember a few years ago Romo and Jerry were booed when they showed them on the Jumbotron.

I know you blame Romo for not winning the super bowl every year not the Owner, GM or coaching for putting out the shabby defenses.

Read some of Percy's post about our D ranking in the Romo years vs Troy and Roger.

Do you also hate Danny White, Marino, Fran Tarkington, Archie Manning, Dan Fouts...etc.

Understand the concept of team sports? Or do you play tennis?

Shabby defenses? For Years Wade Phillips had the best Unit on the team and it was Garrett and the offense that couldn't get the job done. And when the Offensive line started getting old Garrett used that as an excuse to why they weren't playing well because they had to rebuild the offensive line and that took time.

More years they haven't . 5 of the last 6 years for example .

We are the Dallas Cowboys not the Detroit Lions where Romo and this era might be considered a highlite reel in team history,

well its about understanding the game and the league. if you just measure people by super bowls almost no one will make the cut.

I get the feeling you are the kind of guy that boo'd aikman and emmitt in his return in 03 so I am done with this.

I don't blame him. I blame Jerry for not creating a better team for him. But I'm not absolving Romo of blame in those games. And it has been a waste. I can care less about his Stats. So what if he owns every stat in Cowboy history. It'll get him in the ROH. It won't get him in the HOF which is where he should be going. And he should have been playing for Championships. 20 years from now nobody but Cowboy fans are even going to remember him.

And BTW I was a big Danny White fan. I supported him until the end. And now nobody barely talks about him.
Romo will go down as the greatest Cowboy QB in the worst era.

Does that make all of his fans happier. Hey, the core blame is all on Jerry. He's always been my target but the worship for Romo is off the charts.

I get it. He's provided some hope in an otherwise hopeless era. We'll see if he has enough left to reap the benefits of a better built team.

My concern is we'll hang on too long trying to make up for for lost time wasting all of this talent in their prime waiting on Romo to stay upright.

Is it possible this board's feelings are a reflection of how the team feels? There is a lot of optimism. Which is silence for some. I love the confidence.

I don't remember this in 2014. Maybe this is different.

If Romo gets hurt one more time, we have to move on. Can't keep wasting time trying to recapture lost youth.

No, they received a pass dangling their rings.

The same reason Jerry gets a pass or he would have already been ran out of town . Troy said it best" the Dallas sports market is a winners town".

Still happens. You haven't heard Dak doing it? I hear it more and more each game that goes by.

I just noticed that and thought the same thing in the last couple games. The one thing that I noticed though at the same time, was that even though he was doing it more, at least the clock wasn't at like 4 seconds to go when he would start it, like it seemed Romo does A LOT.. I love Romo but I will admit that is one thing I hated is him running the clock down to almost zero before barely getting the play off.

Ok you're going on ignore . Romo had a rating of 128 in that game and played flawless .

not sure if this guy is a troll, just plain dumb or its just me thinking his avatar is annoying but this guy rubs me the wrong way most of the time.

The line has been dropping. I think plenty of people are picking Dallas

dallas was 3.5 underdog with cin at home!
GB is a 3 pt fav just for being at home
but I prefer dallas to be the underdog.
The odds were even at game time
It dropped all week...indicating at least partly people thought Dallas would win or cover.

As they are all saying around the country..

no way do we beat them at Lambeau.

So..

does that mean we have nothing to lose..

and we can just pull out all the stops..

and play like a bunch of crazed wolves?

Or does it mean we go in trying not to lose..

and go ultra conservative and hope for it?

How are we playing this game?

And what will be the turning point?

One thing I know for sure..

At least we don'the have to worry about DAK choking against the Packers like Romo has in 2014 and Brett Favre in 2010 when he played Minnesota in the playoffs.

Romo seems to have a mental block when it came to his hero Favre in Green and Gold and now Rodgers, too.

Thoughts.?
What level of idiot must someone be to say Romo choked at Green Bay in 2014. Are you freaking kidding me?
there's just always been this group of tards that have relentlessly bashed Romo. Always his fault...for everything.

Now that we're lucky enough to get a young QB that is playing well--a time when we should all just be pulling for Dak--those same vitrioll Romo haters just ramp up their dog crap even more. just can't help themselves, like a little child crapping his pants.
Grow the heck up

Just some trivia.
Romo was the first QB in NFL history in 2014 to lead the league in QB rating in BOTH the regular season AND the playoffs.

Look, if we go with Dak going forward, I'm supporting him 100%. I just don't get the Romo-bashing stuff. It's way out of line and unwarranted.

Not even going to discuss the "choking" thing because everyone knows that's nonsense.

Romo's won at Lambeau before. Beaten Favre as well.

Seriously, man.

Our run game will dictate the outcome of this game in my opinion.

Even bringing up the Minnesota game is funny to me. We had NO oline whatsoever. Romo was sacked repeatedly in that game. Yet it's his fault?

In fact, he is the ONLY Dallas QB to EVER win at Lambeau

I'm hoping Dak will be the 2nd.:flagwave:
