Nobody will respect the Cowboys if we beat up the Cards

I couldn't give a rat's posterior about respect. I care about how good this team is and winning in the playoffs. The Cowboys beat the Giants twice in 2007 and got massive respect, lost to them in the playoffs. The respect didn't help my mood.

I'm sure Washington fans felt good about beating Dallas twice and watching them win the SB in 1995.

They barely respect us now, the respect comes when we beat teams we NEED to beat to get to the Superbowl (Phi, SF etc). Beating down the cards does nothing in the long run, we better win though lol. Please give your thoughts...
Nobody is gonna respect us unless we win a SB. It’s us against the world.

I think we are getting plenty of respect honestly and yes we really don't deserve anything more until we win the NFC Championship

Who cares?

Besides, great teams are supposed to squash bad teams.

Who cares? or better yet, stop watching the pre-scripted shows that you get all of your information from.

So? That's my thought. Who cares if the national media respects us?

We don't pick out schedule all we can do is play the teams on it.

Honestly, I really couldn't care less if the media or other fans respect us... they are irrelevant to me.

Funny how people were saying how the Rams were awful, one of the worst teams in the league. Niners have a fairly tough battle with them and nobody says how bad the Rams suck... now all of the sudden its, the Niners beat a very scrappy Rams team that are much better than we thought...lol.
.
The goal posts always move when those talking heads discuss Dallas. Who cares.

ven if we beat the niners, I can hear Stephen A say... thats what they do... they win these games in the REGULAR season... Im not impressed. Come see me when they do it in the PLAYOFFS.

If we lose... you know what Stephen A will say...... only a SB can shut the clowns up

Why are we hung up with what the media thinks about us or where they rank us? You can only play what is out front of you on the schedule. There will be time when in the schedule we have to prove who we really are and that is in a few games when we meet the 49ers.

It maybe that we just disagree on the definition of respect. I don’t classify what a sports writer or talking head on ESPN says about the Cowboys in September as real respect. I believe that real respect in the NFL only happens with multiple playoff wins. And I don’t pay attention to what any media types say about any team.

Thats just my opinion and we can certainly agree to disagree.
Yes, I think the interpretation of the wording is probably the issue

I wonder if the 85 Bears or the 70's Steelers or the 90's Cowboys were and still are questioned over all the bad teams they beat or average teams that beat them? Do people look at the undefeated Dolphins team and question the games played against patsies?

I think the Cowboys' own fans do this more than anyone. We won by 20 but the QB stinks. We won by 30 but we struggled to stop the run. The nonsense never stops with our own fans. In 2007, NE won 16 straight regular season games, averaging 36.8 points and 411 yards per game. Then they beat the Jacksonville Jaguars and San Diego Chargers to reach the SB, 18-0. Then they lost the SB to the NY Giants; they even put up a "16-0" Banner, which their own fans hated! Are they respected by NFL history? https://***BLOCKED***/3637864/2022/09/28/2007-new-england-patriots-16-0/

As Bob said earlier, JUST WIN! Don't question every game; don't question every player's effectiveness every week. As fans, we should be cheering and enjoying every victory, big and small, dominant or weak. Every win is part of winning the division, making the playoffs, getting past the Divisional Round, playing in the NFC Championship game, getting to the SB and winning it!

We Cowboys fans have been blessed with memorable stars and championship seasons beyond all but 2-3 teams in NFL history, but we have also suffered through years and decades of either bottom feeding misery or top of the mountain disappointments. No one knows what the 2023 story will be, only what we hope it will be. We deserve to sit back, light a cigar or doobie, drink beer or whiskey, and savor every win, celebrating every win, even when it's a team we should destroy. Go Cowboys!

I don't care for their respect, beating down bad teams is exactly what good teams are supposed to do and that lets me know the kind of group we have.

Fans should not be going around assuming that we're just going to run through every team like they're a JV team. It's ok to be confident, but not COCKY and ARROGANT, anything can happen in this league!!
Who is assuming anything???

You can only play the teams on your schedule......take care of your business, who cares what the media say, I don't understand why so many on this forum get so bent out of shape because some sports figure/talking head doesn't heap glorious praise on the Cowboys...

I've said it numerous times, the Real test for the Cowboys starts in San Fran in two weeks, just beat the teams you play before you get there......after the San Fran game, we'll know where the Cowboys stand!

Day 14

I began washing the car and noticed something splattered on my back window Star decal.

It was a bird dropping.

Not surprisingly, the bird had been dealing with a bout of diarrhea.

No one respects the Cowboys.

Day 15

My neighbor's dog was barking at my Cowboys yard sign.

I could not see anything there but the sign.

The dog's bark seemed more high-pitched than normal.

No one respects the Cowboys.

Day 16

I ran to the flag pole as fast as I could when I noticed it started to rain.

My Cowboys flag was soaking wet by the time I brought it down.

The downpour was suspiciously heavy for this time of the year.

No one respects the Cowboys.

Day...

I don't think that at all.. we can lose any given Sunday... but I enjoy the ride

I don't think anyone is arguing with you … but yet you are arguing... lol

New flash we will loose games we should win this year and win some that seems impossible... the playoff will take care of itself long before we need to worry about them... Lets enjoy the high, bro!
It's nothing to argue over, people just aren't realistic these days, but when reality blows them away, it's like the newest thing since sliced bread!!
