Based on what evidence?
And the evidence they were going to retain either Carr or Claiborne?
Based on what evidence?
All hail McClay.
According to some people he is involved in running everything.is he involved in FAs?

I do not think he was cleared and still in the concussion protocol.I thought he was off the injury report going into the Green Bay game? Am I mistaken?

Seems like he has a say in it:
Cowboys owner Jerry Jones, vice president Stephen Jones and coach Jason Garrett have used McClay's reports to pluck players such as defensive end David Irving from opposing practice squads.
They've signed McClain, Crawford and defensive end Benson Mayowa based on McClay's recommendations -- players that generated little conversation when they signed but contributed to the Cowboys' 13-3 record last season. Mayowa, who had three career sacks coming in, led the team with six last season after signing a three-year, $8 million deal.
Those are the types of free agents the Cowboys will sign this offseason.

Carroll's concussion problems must be serious. He isn't as bad as people make him out to be and Cowboys are very thin in the secondary.

Except for the 2nd round of the draft. We pretty much have a monopoly on move peculiarity in that particular department.LOL. Good metrics.
He was bad last year too. This franchise has had a weird obsession with him for two offseasons now. They brought him in after the 2015 season and tried to sign him then too. He smells like a Marinelli special - Rod fell in love with him for some bizarre reason and kept trying to bring him in.
They screwed up. It's OK to just admit that, at times, this organization makes really peculiar moves. Pretty much every franchise does.
Cutting players with injury settlements is a touch messy, so teams don't do it if they feel like there is no other reason not to do it.Carroll's concussion problems must be serious. He isn't as bad as people make him out to be and Cowboys are very thin in the secondary.
Yes he is/was.
I mean I get why people like to say this............. it's hard to stomach the reality that the Cowboys signed a crap player, but that's the reality.
Does this mean Jourdan starts? Hope so.Ok, where's @Sydia?

I seem to remember that being announced Thursday of last week, unless something came out that he was clear after that.
Irrelevant at the end of the day though.
