Norm RIPPING The Tuna...

this is just a simple of issue of those who don't like Parcells, or respect him, being upset because BIll hasn't spoken directly to them, and those who may not have like everything about BP, but at least respected him, not caring all that much if he speaks to us directly, or indirectly

Hits the Nail right on the head ....

Apart from some reminiscing what did Parcells tell the media during his PC's?

He'd rather not have been there....no surprise he didnt do it. We'd learn very little anyways.

The only other one one one radio interview I've heard Parcells give was with Bryan Cox on Fox Sports Radio. He's close friends with Mike Francesca. Parcells is probably asked ten times a day to give interviews, and apparently he only grants it to his friends. Its quite a "get", and quite a favor to them.

I learned quite a bit. I imagine anyone who took the time to listen to his PC's as did well. It was a classroom for football. Even National Media would admit that they took the time to listen to Parcells' press conferences.

Its one of the things I'll miss most. I'm sure the next coach press conferences will revert back to a timewaste collage of generic coaching cliches about taking it one game at a time.

Parcells is a New Jersey/New York guy, his loyalty is to them. Screw us the Cowboy fans, we have never ment anything to that old bag.

Yep francessa is a personal friend.

Will mcdonough who he met at nbc became a friend and he used to talk to him at the boston globe alot.

He did a book with lupica but I dont think he has a relationshipe with him.

And of course peter king.

That is why it is so funny to me to see Guys like Dale hansen get all upset about him, he could care less. Hansen could start a million man march outside parcells condo and he wouldnt care less because he doesnt even know who he is...nor does he hold his opinion in high regard...

Like he said many times and in his in his own words show on nfl n.

These are all "peripheral issues" and I am not into "periphereal issues".

Exactly. He was just a Giant Carpetbagger anyways.

I could care less what he has to say...just leave Valley Ranch already and get back to the Jersey Shore where you belong.

Right on.Parcells has nothing but praise for the Jones
family and is staying on to help with the transition. He
owes nothing to the media.

...and he's right: The Tuna should have stood up in front of the local media and explained himself to the fans of the Dallas Cowboys.

Norm is right. An e-mail resignation? Come on.

Strikes me that if The Soprano's Land Con Man had been fired, he'd of been phoning every media outlet within a 100 mile radius, screaming about how wronged he was.

LOL @ some ppl in this thread *****ing about how local media "racked him over the coals" for his late season collapses, especially after the Seattle game.

I'm sure the east coast media will be much more understanding with poor, misunderstood Duane. Those guy's are known for their kid-glove treatment!

Bill Parcells has no reason to tell the fans anything, he never has, and he never will. The Tuna only had obligation to the players, and the Owner/GM. He has a choice whether to tell the fans or not. and To blast him because he didnt shows stupidty, and ignorance

Kind of like when my girlfriend of 3 and a half years broke up with me last year:

1) via txt message
2) while I was at work
3) on our monthly anniversary date when I had already bought her something
4) the weekend before I had final exams at school

The Dallas media pure sucks. I wouldn't explain any thing to them either.
He owed Jones an explination. I think he gave that to him.

Its not about the Dallas media its about explaining things to the Dallas fans like you and I and we deserved that.

I love Parcells but he owed us that and he isnt going to give it to us.

Im not going to make a big deal about it but thats definetely something he owed us the fans.

Bill has done that, he did not do in with the Dallas media (Dallas media is not the voice of the fans) but he has explained himself. I don't expect him to contact each and every one of us, but he made his statement as to his reason for stepping down.
