I think what’s frustrating about the conversation about Dak is the hyperbole.

Dak isn’t trash. He’s also not elite. I think the OP demonstrates that Dak is average, and I think that is fair, especially considering Dallas has allowed the least sacks and pressures this year, so we can’t say it’s a down year because his OL is bad or something. He has a good OL, good (not great) receivers, good Tight Ends, and elite RBs.

Dak is not living up to his contract. It’s ridiculous to argue otherwise, but he is a decent QB. I think if you are saying Dak is trash, you are evaluating based on emotional reaction to the game, and need to soften your criticism (myself included). But to those who think Dak is elite and call out people who are critical as not being fans or not knowing football, that is just blind denial.

Personally, I think Dak has the talent to win a SB, but not the consistency. In other words, he can beat any team at any time, but that QB only appears for about 1/3 of the season. He was that vs Minnesota for 4 quarters, but usually he gives you 1-2 elite quarters a game, and ranges from meh to yikes the rest of the time. IMO, he’s been that guy all season except against Minnesota.

He’s not trash. He’s not elite. OP is right, he’s average.

Exactly. The Dak haters want to paint a picture that he's 25-32 spot and the Dak backers want to paint him as a 5-10 spot. Dak is an average QB. One very frustrating thing is the ownership and coaching staff think he's elite and try to force him to play at an elite level. So hopefully, eventually the coaches and Dumbo GM realizes he's average and builds the team accordingly.

We are in year 7 of this crap, and sadly some can not see him for who he is

Say what you want, but multiple years in a row Jerry has put a roster around Dak, more than good enough win. Jerry has given this QB continuity to protect his fragile ego and spent money on offense to help him.

I can’t believe this guy got a contract with a no trade clause coming off a broken leg. And Dallas could have just franchise him again.

Dak EVERY YEAR has some of the worst stretches of QB play in the whole league. This isn’t knew. He was had like 6 TOs in 2020 before he got injured. In 2019, during there awful stretch, they were setting records in not scoring TDs over multiple quarters and among the worst in the league in third down.

So far this season, Dakota is currently 16th in QBR

Qbs that we clown like Daniel Jones, Geno Smith, Marcus Mariota, Jared Goff, Jacoby Brissett, and Derek Carr, all have a higher QBR than Dak

Of the 15 QBs in front of him, only Mahomes, Jackson, and Goff have a higher cap hit than Dakota in 2022.

For the past 6 seasons, the Dak supporters flaunted his numbers as a barometer of the level of QB he is.

And before anyone says im nitpicking one stat, he ranks 19th in EPA, 14th in traditional passer rating, 32nd in Int%, 18th in air yards per attempt, and his Qbr is lower than Cooper Rush’s


His play has been a big issue all season long

I mean the offense as a whole is top 3 in points and top 10 in yards. So as a whole, hes unit is performing fine.

His QB hinders him so much. Every play that doesnt work “kellen sucks!” “This is some horrific playcalling!”

Before halftime, with a chance to blow the game open, he called a read option. For some reason, the QB decided to pitch it to pollard when he easily scampers for a first down had he kept it.
