What did I do to deserve this so early in the morning?

Yes, Romo needs to hit the other guys more but to make it seem like some controversy is just plain ridiculous. That's part of the development of a QB, this is his THIRD year as a starter.

Yup.... we need to be thankful we don't have a guy like Jason Campbell!

I dont think he is "purposely" throwing more passes to Witten.

This has been developing for some time, even back into late last season. For whatever reason he doesnt seem to be seeing the entire field as well as he once did. He has been missing the open guys for awhile now. There's tons of passes one can find on film where he has thrown to the wrong guy.

He forces alot of balls to Owens too, and many of those end up getting picked. On most of them you can easily see other options he should have gone to.

The WR's re-watch the game tape too, its very easy to see.

As good as Romo has been, I can't say I disagree with your comments. It has been developing for a while. He just doesn't distribute the ball as well as he did when he first started.

We, of course, have seen what this team is without Romo, but it would be nice if he tightened it up and got back to the guy he was when he started. It seems like he has just gotten sloppy in his habits.

I think that might have been the case in a couple of games before he got hurt (like Arizona), but more often than not he has plenty of time. I didnt see him under much pressure at all on any of those 3 picks last week.

He had Woodley bearing down on him on the last (fatal) pick.

I think it has more to do with poor oline play. Romo's not getting the time he needs to get the ball where it's supposed to go so he checks down to Witten. It isn't the case all the time but I'd say the majority of the time..

Ding, ding, ding.

Remember how methodically he dissected the Browns when he had ample time?

I've never been a fan of this Oline. While they play well at times, they can't be depended upon to play consistently well all the time.

Three plays sum up much of the problem. Early in the game, Romo throws the pick on either a bad throw or bad route. I remember thinking at the time that Michael Irvin would have made a play to at least keep the defender from making the pick. TO seemed to pull up when the throw was off. Is Romo's trust in him compromised at this point?(Aikman was the worst at this). TO felt like he was open on the pick to Witten who later admits that he ran the wrong route. At this point, TO is miffed. The 4th down play, Romo gets pressure and just flings it to Witten who never sees the ball. TO knows the game is lost and Romo has comfirmed that he favors Witten with the game on the line.

That's how I see it. From there it has snowballed and been blown up by the media. I can see both players perspective.

LOL at that picture. My favorite whipping boy (PRocter) is holding his block and Mr. Columbo looked late in getting over to block Woodley. That f'ing Lebeau....he sure knows how to free up LB's to rush the passer......

Actually, if you watch Proctor closely he did not play that badly.

Unfortunately, he's going against the Giants who made him look bad last time.

I wish Parcells was still coach.

Jethro chose #81 instead..............He got two birds with one stone here. Got a great WR which in turn pushed BP out the door(which is ok by me) and installed a yes man. When they win the SB he can say "look at me. Look what I've done", when in all reality he should be saying that now. He won't.

Only thing is he's regressing. One of Romo's strengths early in his career was he was able to go through his progressions so fast and find the open man.

Not the case now. Remember the Carolina game in 06? He went through his reads so fast, and if it wasnt there, he pulled it down and got positive yards.

I think he just needs to get back to basics.

I just flat don't get it. The guy is literally a top 3 QB in the NFL and was leading the league in passer rating and had a roughly 3 to 1 TD to INT ratio going into the Steeler game, has a bad game, and now he's got a laundry list of problems?

Every QB can improve on something, but to act like he's the source of all our offensive woes is ridiculous.

Yeah.

This board's current animosity towards Romo is absolutely mind-boggling. I just don't get it.

Certain posters accuse Romo of not seeing the entire field. If this truly is the case, Romo must be the luckiest person to have ever played in the NFL for his career numbers to be as phenomenal as they are.

its true-romo forces throws to TO and witten instead of throwing to the open guy even if its a checkdown.

Agree. I think most QB's go thru this time to time. Something gets them out of that zone ie more plays, less protection, new players, too much Jessica:D etc.. But when he's on he's on...
