Most people say take it one game at a time. We are tied for best record in the NFL right now. Put it how you want but that's the facts. Dallas is on top in the NFC

Yes and I think everyone is thrilled with that but until the race is over there is a lot of work yet to be done. I think it is great that this team is playing good ball and winning yet also knowing there is room for growth and improvement. You right at this stage Dallas is the top team in the NFC, last week it was Minn and now it is not. With 10 games left to play my hope as well as every Cowboy fan out there hopes that we are #1 seed after the final game of the reg season is played. I don't take people saying it is meaningless as trying to be negative but right now no one is a lock for the post season and the seeding just as rankings are in college ball don't mean much until the season is done

Of course we can get better no doubt about that. And I don't think anybody is saying we are a lock for anything. I'm saying right now, today we are number 1. That could change yes but that's speculation, e could also win. Fact is we are number 1 and haven't even played our best yet......scary thought huh

Yes we are in 1st place tied for the best record in the NFC I think that is great. I'm more interested in being #1 when all is said and done. I love the way the boys are playing and seeing that confidence grow game by game. Last 2 games the Cowboys have played I actually got to sit back and relax during much of the 4th qrt because I knew those games were in the bag. That does not happen that often for the Cowboys, normally it is a nail biter until the last few seconds. We agree that this team can get better.

I think you are taking people saying it is meaningless the wrong way.

I guess it means nothing to you, I guess you would want us 1-5 instead and be last place. Bet you wouldn't have a problem saying that

Again, you're changing the argument.
No one is arguing that we shouldn't be happy with a 5-1 record.
But that 5-1 record doesn't have anything to do with seeding yet because all the games haven't been played to the degree we can determine which team gets the Number 1 seed.
Therefore ... talking about a 5-1 start = meaningful.
Talking about the No. 1 seed at 5-1 with 10 games to go, three NFC teams (including ourselves) with 1 loss and two NFC teams with two losses = meaningless.

Or maybe you can explain to me why it is meaningful to talk about the No. 1 seed now?

Oh, and let's cut the sophomoric "He doesn't agree with me; therefore, he must want the Cowboys to lose" shtick. Let's have an adult conversation without resorting to that childish tactic?

Exactly. Seeding in the conference is the furthest thing from my mind right now. I'm just enjoying the season week by week. We aren't even at the halfway point of the season yet.
