I'm hoping that the Cowboys are being open minded on how to use Lance, odds are his success isn't going to be as a pocket passer that carries the team with his arm,,, pretty sure San Fran never intended to rely on him that way.

How much you want to bet it want matter?

If he does not play perfect he is a bust. 4th year in the league. Will be playing against rookies and UDFA's against very vanilla defenses.

I can see the excuses already. Well Trance was not playing with the first team.

One thing to keep in mind I'd that although he will be playing against rookies and UDFAs, as you've said, he will also have rookies and UDFAs helping him execute the offense.

It's apples to apples in preseason for the most part.

He will either show that he grasps the offense and can execute or he won't.

It's not a final grade....merely just more evidence, either way

I mean we have virtually nothing invested in Rush as a udfa and I'm not sure many think he's starting material.

But with Lance we've invested a 4th round pick and him turning into the #2 is important
