won't. Too many media people utilize it for breaking news.

You're correct. I just don't get it though. It's an extremely lame method of communication. Well, at least it feels lame...

Follow me and read my tweets... Really???? LAME

How did I know you'd have the quick 411? :D
Well, I was reading the exchange just as this thread was posted.

If you read twitter, you'd see how funny the whole back and forth is between Chad and the other guys.

I think the concept is solid, the way it's implemented is lame though.

Every post in here was under 140 characters.....you all just tweeted each other

You are all now required to wear a Justin Beiber haircut and put pony stickers on your notebook

Umm...They work together. A lot of Facebook posts are just twitter feeds. Easy to set up. No need to log on facebook.

This. I mainly use it for news sources, both sports and political, and to read what players have to say in real time.

If you're in the business, I understand, but I see it as just a huge waste of time. Just my opinion.

How in the world did people make it before the Internet? haha.

umm...it's the same thing on either site. a base RSS feed that allows you to show off your short attention span to the world and ensure we all know where you're eating.

while you can feed one to the other, it's the same thing in the end except twitter is JUST what you're eating. facebook allows me to see pics and get spammed by people wanting me to see their show.

I guess it depends on how you use it. I never post anything on twitter. I just use it for live news updates on the go. If anything, it saves time. Before twitter and the internet, if something was going on, you would have to rely on TV, radio, word of mouth, or even worse, newspapers. Now, you can get updates on things as they happen without having to log onto the internet or wait on any of the other news sources, which saves time.

For example, I knew of the Japan earthquakes and tsunamis, the Alabama tornadoes, and the killing of OBL and subsequent press conference as quickly as most on the planet just by looking down on my phone. Not too shabby if you ask me.
