This is the bit I don't get about dak.. it is all a media story. He gets "Player of the Game" even though even his biggest defenders would have to agree it wasn't even close to being his best game and nor was he our best player... so he get the 'award' because it fits nicely into the saviour story line. Dak sells and therefore everything at this franchise has been set up around dak.. we have created a franchise quarterback through fiction.. NOT through game play. It will cost us.

I want a legitimate football team. We have shown that we are the greatest marketing product in the league.. we are a powerhouse franchise in every respect other than ON THE FIELD. For that to change.. our approach needs to change. Dak is just one symptom of that. Anyone who thinks that Dak is a true 'franchise/elite QB' is delusional.

I have always maintained that Dak is best as an above average bus driver. He is Kirk Cousins. He can win IF all the other pieces are put in place. The issue comes (as we saw in the first half) when our dumber than dumb OC tries to put Dak in charge and we go pass happy.

Again we saw today that we gave up sacks, our Oline looked out of sync, we gave up penalties before the snap.. we looked WOEFUL in the first half against one of the weaker teams in the NFL.. in the 2nd half we go back to the run game, the defence steps up with FIVE turnovers.. and we still only eek out 21 points (7 of which were at the death/garbage time). Only in dallas is that celebrated.

I'm glad we got the win.. but we have got some serious issues on this offence and Dak is part of it. Nothing about how he and Moore are approaching things makes me feel at ease. This game, again, relied on an elite defence and Pollard and Zeke. Need our OC and QB to recognise how this team will win games and then actually commit to it. Stop the marketing BS.

Dak is not great. Dak is not bad. Dak is a good NFL QB paid approximately his market value ($40 mil a year puts him at 9th in annual value among NFL QBs).

Could you argue he is overpaid by about $5-$10 million a year? Yeah, you could.

Is he perfect? Absolutely not. His game has some very visible flaws.

Despite this, has he proven to be good enough to make this team dangerous with the right supporting cast? Yes I would say that is true.

Stats have nothing to do with it. What it boils down to is the team has a top 5 D...two guys that can run the ball...can the QB make the critical plays at the critical time when needed? That's what this boils down to at this point for this season. Right now I don't have confidence. This is not a team that gives me confidence playing from behind.

That was the rustiest looking only missed 5 passes performance I've seen. He's got Chicago and the bye to get going. He really doesn't need to anything other than be ready to make those critical plays when needed against the better teams in this league. Otherwise we'll be watching the same movie again we all have for the last 10 years... one and done.

Against the better teams in the conference if he looked like this vs Lions. There is nothing I seen today from DAK that leads me to believe that he can lead this team to a win over the eagles late in the season or win in the playoffs
