*** Official Bash, Blame, Trade and Roast Tony Romo thread***

probably the way Favre frustrated GB fans, up until he won the SB, and even after that too. Gunslingers tend to do that. More often than not, they win the gunfight, but on occasion, they can't hit the broadside of a barn, unless it wears the opponent's colors.

at any rate, they play balls out, leave their game on the field and make everything exciting, even when they screw up royally.

while they may frustrate us from time to time, when we sit down and use logic and reasoning, there is almost no other QB we would rather have wearing the uniform.

I agree with your line of thinking, Biggems.

so far he has been so great in the regular season but when it really matters he allwayss ***** **** up..

hes not clutch at all

hes only good because he has a star line and other stars around him

im so close to smacking that grin off of his face.

WHERE THE **** was he throwing the ball too.

and jason witten said it was his fault... noo if tony see's that hes not turned around why throw the da** ball

i dont care i dont want him to be on our team..

we could have easily beat the seahawks and win the superbowl

he cost us so much more than he has given us

softt little wittle pinkie.....

GOOD GAME CHOICE

Yet another 3 + int game for ROMO

luckily last year when he THREW FIVE PICS; 4 in the first half folk saved him

Finally somebody with common sense, and can be a Cowboys fan and not be naive and ignorant. Go ahead and defend homo because he puts up good statistics against bad teams and jumps up and down like a fairy when he throws a td against a 2 win team. Just because he is a Cowboy doesnt make him the best, nor if he is someones favorite player does that make him good. The people who criticize people for being realistic about romo are in denial. Nobody can make an argument that romo is good other then his statistics. Anybody with any common sense knows stats dont tell the story. Making plays in the clutch with your back against the wall tells the story. Hence Roethisberger today, and theres a reason he has a ring. And if anybody says he was on a great team, remember he was picked #11 overall, and no other rookie qbs have had the season he did, Flacco and Ryan arent far behind. Because rookie qbs are ever that good, and usuall dont win the SuperBowl their 2nd year.

And if anybody wants to argue that and say it was his team, then you cant have it both ways and must say romo had the benefit of 4 years on the bench, and the benefit of TO, Glenn, Witten, Jones, Barber. A qb does need talent around him to win, but that talent doesnt amtter if the qb cant carry the load when he needs to. romo has proven he cant carry the load on his frail shoulders, he needs everyone around him to make him look good, he isnt capable of making the players around him better, because they were great before romo ever was.

you might not like TO, but its not a coincidene that he posted hall of fame numbers with other teams and those teams were more successful while he was there then after he left, and he comes to Dallas and when romo plays after 4 years on the bench, puts up good numbers. When TO is gone, romos pretty statistics will worsen while his turnovers increase. TO might be a jerk at times but that doesnt mean he sucks because he cant make romo look good all the time.

Romo is a coward, look today when he just falls so he wont get hit when he is sacked by Kirske. And against Seattle on the intentional grounding, he turns his back and hunches over to avoid getting hit. A real man like Troy Aikman never did that, and thankfully not all other Cowboys fans are so ignorant and are romo apoligists that can see reality.

Dallas will never have a superbowl win as long as romo is the qb and wade is the coach.

Tony, you're a jerk, and you better play better next week.

There. I'm done.

These numbers don't reflect today's games, but here you go:

Stats for December/January 2006-2008 please

I still think it's a team problem. You can have all the talent in the world, you still have to be a team. There are characters in Dallas preventing them from being a team.

No argument here. Romo isn't the only one who isn't clutch. The defense only game up 6 points in 3.5 quarters and had a goal line stand. Then in clutch time let the Steelers march it down their throats to tie it up.

Most of the team isn't clutch.

He will one day have to sit down with his son and explain to him that his worst game ever he was 19 for 36 and had 210 yards on the number one passing defense and 3 int.

Too bad he merged it I wonder if I will still be able to bring it back up.

With all due respect ,I disagree.

But I will definitely make a note of your statement for the future I Told you so's.:)

Good. I said never exactly for that reason. Enjoy the Romo wagon. I'll find another ride. I'll always root for my Boys but from now on I will do it with the knowledge that our starting QB won't be the catalyst to lead us down the road to the next Lombardi.

can't believe people question him.

guess people forget what it's like without him already :banghead:

If the Ravens win and we beat theGiants next week I'll forgive him for today.

Have you seen his 4th quarter stats when it's a close game? Have you forgotten how many games he's won for us late in the game?

Have you seen how many games he's won in December and January? We can win every game in September - November, but if you can't win down the stretch and in the playoffs, then it doesn't mean squat.

C'mon guys, please don't sticky this. This is embarassing for the board.

Now that I've had time to cool off, its time to put this in perspective. Romo is still a heck of a QB. He does take too many chances, but today I just thought the ball sailed on him more than anything.

Witten is quoted as saying the INT for a TD was "all Witten's fault". He slipped coming out of his break. Not sure what happend on the last play. Witten was not even looking for the ball.

Bottom line is Romo is a nice guy that is easy to root for. He's got a ton of natural talent and can drive defenses crazy. Now he needs somone like Mike Holmgran to give him some guidance......in a Parcells kind of way. I don't believe Garrett is that guy. I hope I'm wrong in this regard.

Finally, let's not forget that Dallas now controls its own destiny. I doubt Dallas can run the table with its schedule. But it wouldn't totally shock me either. Defense is playing great ball and we all know what the offense can do.

Long term, I sure hope Holland can go next Sunday. I think that is MORE important than Barber playing. Honestly, I could be convinced Holland, because of the drop off to Proctor, is the difference between a W and an L next week.

I still love Tony Romo. He does make me nervous though. I find myself telling him to "be cool" and don't do anything stupid more and more often though.

I'm not sure how he stops those turnovers. I really don't know how to make him stop the turnovers. I think he thinks he is superman and can make a play all the time. Maybe Aikman could show him something about ball safety.

Well, Tony sucked today, he was playing a tough defense in the blistering cold. Sorry, nevermind, no excuses. How do you throw a pick 6 with less than two minutes? That is just **** poor.

I still love you Tony. (remember how many seasons it took peyton manning to win the big one??)
